Yup, I know what's wrong, but there's no fix for it except for not using proxies that are also used for abusive behavior.

Tenboro, the point is that I use my own IP, not proxies.

As you see, nobody did anything unusual. Same for me. The website had been working fine but suddenly this crap appeared from nothing.

Shared IP? It's the same thing as proxy, essentially. There's only so much you can do from single IP in a day on a site, before defense mechanisms kick in. If there's only one person using the IP, it's very hard for that person to reach any such limits. If it's a thousand, and they all sit on this site, it's easy. Don't let your friends use E-H? (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) They take your limits away (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) This post has been edited by Dlaglacz: Jan 10 2010, 17:07

To those people who are still suffering from this problem: Try running a Hentai@Home client and gather some haths, then buy the "more pages" serise hath perks. With the new hath perk mechanism, the problem will be no more as long as you don't trigger the anti-flood yourselves.

If someone's on shared IP though, can they get an open public IP and port to run the H@H client?

(IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) They take your limits away (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) That's the fault of IPv4 system currently has. In theory, we would've hit the maximum limit of theoretical IPs available for the current IPv4 system, if the pool of IPs were not limited to a certain extent, in short, some ISPs are not rich enough to hog whole swaths of IP ranges. So what do they do? They place their users in one IP address. I've know some ISPs with only a single pool before, something like the following example, 192.168.1.1-254. and that's all they have. Obviously other ISPs may have something like this 192.168.(1-254).(1-254), and can allocate independent IPs to every single user. Imagine sharing 192.168.1.(1-254) to 1000-2000 people. I hope I am being reasonable and talking in sense. PS: Ok, I lied about IPv4 maximum limit, but you need to understand, certain ISPs and companies claim hold on large "areas" of IPs, thus the available pool to other ISP shrinks down... The apple is only so big. And there is so many people wanting a piece of it. @ prot0mega Do you have definite proof that it will fix the problem? Or will Tenboro step up and confirm your "rumor" on the hath perk fixing the site mechanisms? Your idea is nice, but that's just what "you" think, not unless you have contacted Tenboro on this matter beforehand. I don't wish to sound rude, but I just wish to have a concrete answer and not something pulled out of mid air. Although if you experienced the site defensive mechanisms, and your hath perk actually fixed it, you may want to state that it worked for you to confirm our worries. Thank you. First: the end user : read: "me" dont decide that I use shared ip. My service provider is just that second: I cant control other "friends" read: "other users" how, when, where they want to surf and I wont know what they doing. third: I tried access at near to 00.00 before and still no luck, unless the site internal clock is way different. fourth: If thats the problem, shouldnt the site tell us we reach our limit, other the messed up page? fifth: most of us only experience this some where 2 weeks or so ago, so this is a new feature limit? Wait... If this is due to the anti-flooding same ISP stuff, does this problem have any relation to the somewhat random 509 errors some people get?
Note: For the 509 errors, Tenboro has said that getting the more pages hath perks will help.

what? Do you have a different connection for your wii? Or does your Wii go through the same internet connection as your comp?
If it goes through the same connection, it might be a problem that some computers are now incompatible with e-hentai? That's really strange.

I am certain that this has to do with the website's blocking the whole specific region, since I've found difference in the website's response as I tried to use different proxies from differnt countries. Before anything, I would like to tell that I am connecting from the Philippines, and I used this single ip address until I have experienced this problem as others had for two weeks. After experiencing the problem, I started to input differnt proxies from differnt countries, including Mexico, South Korea, Japan, some of the EU countries, UK and Canada. But none of them have found to be effective so far. So, what It did next was to find the location of this server through whois information on the website. Then I found that it is located in the US. It was quite hard to find good proxies in US through free. But I still managed to get some, anonymous, distorting, and transparent ones. As I used distorting and anonymous proxies, I found that the outcome was differnt: the website actually loads in proper manner. But I couldn't go over, for some reason, that proxy does not seem to go over one page...(IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) Anyway, the proper loading of the webpage with US proxy was the discovery, and with this, I think the server itself actually denies all users from countries other than US (as I know so far). And if anyone tries to connect the website through anonymous or distorting proxies, I think he would successfully eneter the website just like other 'normal' people enter.
