They recently made an anime adaptation for The Beginning After the End and when I first saw clips from the show I legitimately could not believe it was real because of how outstandingly poor the animation quality was. It was bad enough that the author of the novel (who speaks English) made a reddit post addressing how bad the adaptation was.

The worst part about it to me is just how much I love the novel/comic. If it was just some random shitty fantasy anime I wouldn't have even noticed it, but the fact that it's an adaptation reflects poorly on the novel. I can't recommend the novel without worrying that the person I'm talking to has seen the anime and had their life permanently worsened as a result.

After finally getting around to watching it after years of seeing it being regarded as one of THE great anime, all I could could really think was "is that it?" It's not bad (just kinda mediocre) but the way it's talked about makes it very disappointing imo.

I can't say the title because there are so many, but it's a typical isekai anime story. The plot is incredibly boring. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/anime_cry.gif)

I don't like Detroit Metal City. I know it's comedy, but it also reinforces every misconception about death metal, which doesn't do corpse paint and theatrics. That's black metal.

Hot take, but Attack on Titan and Demon Slayer.
They’re probably not the absolute worst anime I have seen, but they were the biggest letdowns for me, especially considering how much hype they got. Just didn’t hit the mark for me at all.

Konosuba i hate it because everyone around me keeps talking about it but i got bored of it in the first few episodes

First episode: golden, such a neat idea!
From ep.2 on it went to shit so fast it's wild. Absolute SLOP, everything in the OG episode tossed in the fucking trash and replaced with mediocre tropes and a absolute gutting of the main scientist dudes character. I watched the entire first season in hopes it would redeem itself, NOPE. It went the route of Shield Hero and fell the hell off hard, hwhat a shame.
