On a related note, I think quality bonus also plays a role in the gem drops since I seem to get the Mystic gem the most often.

I just noticed a display bug under Firefox 3.5.5 with equipment.

Seems if the equipment has a long list of stuff it does, it goes past the 'display box'. It doesn't do that as far as I've seen when you go to the ctrl+c page.

thanks for this update i just got a fire gem at the end of my item world battle and i was wondering wtf. but you should change the color of the gem notification so i know i have one so i don't miss out on using it.

I'm sure Tenboro is laughing his ass off over the blessing/curse the gems are turning out to be. I love the mana gems, & thanks to them I went 44 IW rounds only using 2 lesser mana potions. It's frustrating to get a gem at the end of an hourly or loosing a mystic gem to one you don't need (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) . Oh well, to every silver cloud there is a dark lining.

I just had the same thing happen:

14 4 Your spike shield hits Scary Ghost for 8 points of cold damage.
14 3 Scary Ghost hits you for 58 physical damage.
14 2 You gain the effect Frost Spikes.
14 1 You use Frost Gem.

Since gems are supposed to have a usage time of 0, there's no way that the Ghost should have had time to attack me before I took my next action.

EDIT:
2 14 Regen restores you with 42 points of health.
2 13 Your spike shield hits Blue Slime for 7 points of cold damage.
2 12 Blue Slime hits you for 37 crushing damage.
2 11 Fire Fox misses the attack against you.
2 10 Your spike shield hits Tentacle Monster for 10 points of cold damage.
2 9 Tentacle Monster hits you for 72 piercing damage.
2 8 Your spike shield hits Mantitcore for 7 points of cold damage.
2 7 Mantitcore hits you for 14 piercing damage.
2 6 Your spike shield hits Amphibious Sperm Whale for 7 points of cold damage.
2 5 Amphibious Sperm Whale hits you for 53 crushing damage.
2 4 Your spike shield hits Mind Raper for 7 points of cold damage.
2 3 You parry the attack from Mind Raper.
2 2 You gain the effect Frost Spikes.
2 1 You use Frost Gem.

Usage time of 0 on gems is definitely busted.

I've been thinking about it, and really, it doesn't make much sense to have the spike shield gems. There's no strategy you can use them for, since your chance of finding and keeping the necessary mitigation shield for a specific boss/legendary fight etc. is extremely small, and their counter-attack thing does no noticeable damage. I think they should be replaced by shield, barrier, haste and shadow veil gems - each acting as a shortened version of their respective scroll. Just my thoughts.

Also, as hito noted, the reduction in hp restoratives costs makes me sad :'(

Can you please remove the auto checker thingy its highly annoying and the grind-fest is the only way to really train for now.

everything else is awesome or will be when i can get enough equipment to have sets lol...BTW vote for changing the text for the power gems

Great update, indeed.

Just... To use Gems with some efficiency, one have to pay attention to the log, what, I believe, not so many players do. Wouldn't it be better to make Elemental Gems to activate instantly? (Restoratives/supportives being restoratives, better be left for manual activation)

Just out of curiosity, why is the damage for every Elemental Gem the same for every monster? At least, that is what it seems to be. Shouldn't the gems be the same as spells? Albeit far weaker?

Anyway, perhaps the next update will have something similar to the gems. Rarer versions that are similar to infusions or something. Just saying...

it seems you can only use 1 elemental gem at a time but you can use a health/mana/soul gem and a elemental gem at the same time and the mystic gym only made my magic stronger for 1 turn
