I use Brave (modified Chromium) as soon as Brave which is holding out on some of the stupid things from Chrome, gives up support for extensions. Chromes ending Manifest V2 that allows Tampermonkey and Adnauseam to work.
I also hate that now to load unpacked extensions brave keeps forcing me to reload them (it wasn't for awhile and it's annoying)
I like most people started with IE, then when to Firefox, and eventually ended up on Chrome when it came out. However Chrome is a bloated, very user friendly platform, hence everything seems to build off of it these days. Even if it and Discord (also Chrome), eat on average around 4 of my 16 gigs of rams at any given time.
This said I just opened up Firefox for the first time in awhile and opened 8 taps, and it already is eating 2 gigs of my ram. Brave with 9 tabs and 5 extentions (no extensions for the firefox test) is only eating right now 1 gig. So I guess Firefox is even more bloated anyways.
I'll likely try out Palemoon or palefox or whatever it's called some other time, but honestly the main issue I always had with Firefox was it's poor user interface, it was hard to open a dev console I recall, CTRL+F was hard to use and hard to read, etc.
