1.
i found firefox default use doh trr mode 2(will use local dns), you need switch it to trr mode 3.
chrome always be trr mode 3.

don't know why frefox has always caused my computer fan spinning fast recently, the CPU usage is a bit high.
i only opened a few web pages.

2.
firefox can easy turn webrtc off by about:config
but chrome need the extension developed by Google, and it has some bugs unpaired

Firefox is much more customizable but chrome/chromium has less problems with compatibility and is arguably more responsive. I am using both for different scenarios but chromium is my main browser.

I have not recently noticed any FF incompatibilities at all.

Except for with nvidia linux drivers, but everything has problems with those.

librewolf just werks in my experience.
don't wanna buy into the whole chromium monoculture. even fucking MS switched over to making their browser a chromium clone. what a joke lol. at this point you might as well rip out the whole OS since it's just a platform to run a bunch of chromium instances (electron lol).

I use Brave (modified Chromium) as soon as Brave which is holding out on some of the stupid things from Chrome, gives up support for extensions. Chromes ending Manifest V2 that allows Tampermonkey and Adnauseam to work.

I also hate that now to load unpacked extensions brave keeps forcing me to reload them (it wasn't for awhile and it's annoying)

I like most people started with IE, then when to Firefox, and eventually ended up on Chrome when it came out. However Chrome is a bloated, very user friendly platform, hence everything seems to build off of it these days. Even if it and Discord (also Chrome), eat on average around 4 of my 16 gigs of rams at any given time.

This said I just opened up Firefox for the first time in awhile and opened 8 taps, and it already is eating 2 gigs of my ram. Brave with 9 tabs and 5 extentions (no extensions for the firefox test) is only eating right now 1 gig. So I guess Firefox is even more bloated anyways.

I'll likely try out Palemoon or palefox or whatever it's called some other time, but honestly the main issue I always had with Firefox was it's poor user interface, it was hard to open a dev console I recall, CTRL+F was hard to use and hard to read, etc.

Just a bit of heads up, the VPN on it is near worthless from what I remember, tracks your data for sure, and does not hide you at all. I don't think it even fooled Netflix of all things. It will also cause issues with some sites.

the opera built-in vpn didn't fool any of the sites I visited when I tried it a few years ago

Customizing the UI(UserChrome) of Firefox can be the first chance to learn about CSS

Firefox. I far prefer the layout and addons for it over Chrome. Also it just runs better in my experience.
