Honestly, I do feel Chrome is more responsive. That's why I use it. But I spiritually support Firefox lol.

Chrome has been my main browser for a long time.

I just keep Firefox around when I want to do some isolated testing or run an automation script on a web browser that won't affect my main browser.

Android (mobile): Chrome.
iOS (iPad): Chrome.
Linux (desktop): Firefox.
Windows (desktop): Firefox for main browsing, Edge for a few sites (webmail, banking, payments) and Chrome for Google sites.
Always using Firefox with uBlock Origin add-on.

I'd rather die kicking and screaming; thanks.

I used chrome mostly around 2011/2012 and then realized I was just limiting myself. So I stopped.

Firefox for years. Mainly for the add-ons. Even with all the GUI changes and that they killed dozens of plugins/add-ons with their new add-ons system I stayed. Just because Google Chrome looks and feels so ... pale?

In the end I stayed to Firefox since I'm used to it. But I really hate Mozilla for all the changes they made.

It's literally a shadow of it's former self right now, I wish they would allow external download managers to integrate themselves natively again. Nothing else comes close to classic DownThemAll especially paired with classic FlashGot. uGet is the closest I've found, but it's still not the same.

Classic DownThemAll still works in current seamonkey, last I checked.

I'm in the same boat, although I've done extensive modifications to the UI for firefox and re-instated some things like the "view image" (in current tab) context menu option, clicking in the URL bar without selecting all the text, etc..

Whenever possible, though, I use seamonkey instead. It keeps the faith. And classic style mozilla XUL overlay/XPCOM addons.

With the new anti adblock BS Chromium wants to push down our throats...

I think Firefox or none chromium browsers will be the only realistic browsers if you want to keep sane

never stopped using firefox, even in dark times, it was there.

its not just adblock, there are at least three others privacy extensions I'd recommend: privacy possum, privacy badger, multi account containers.

firefox is really great, and I love the fact that they are working to make it work on wayland. Sadly they depend on google for funding since almost no one is donating at least 1$

I'm using Firefox because anything that isn't google is a step in the right direction with how they are taking things. google just collects too much data. while they do offer great products. I don't want to be one of their products. also just because once you switch it's painful to keep swapping back and forth. I have both I've used both. I like both equally they have there own annoying quirks though. and the main issue for me is tab management. fire fox gets super annoying when you have infinite tabs and wanna close like 50 of them. of course there are extension for that. but not the one I want.

All my document reading and functional things go through Firefox, it just works better when I can customize the crap out of how I want to see things. and FoxReplace has been a godsend. I keep opera open on separate monitor strictly for media, youtube and whatnot. chrome has been relegated strictly to use as a separate audio channel and I probably use it once every few days. so Chrome has somehow stuck around for the odd task and the odd time that niche website says I Need Chrome or else.

That is the same thing as chrome, only worse because it's Microsoft.
