Quick patch to reflect HV 0.4.5's counter typo fix. Updating will allow counters to be tracked for stats and for highlighting.

You'll have to wait a while longer for the real update, I just started long-term testing of localStorage.

Just wanted to say thank you for the awesome script. It makes everything so much better. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Keep up the good work.

For those of you who use STAT in Chrome, I wanted to let you know that the buggy nature of the HP and Gem alerts is fixed in the newest Chrome dev channel build.

However, the Chrome bug that causes a memory leak while playing HV is more pronounced in the latest build. There's a simple fix though: close the HV window and whichever Chrome tab you opened it from, and then re-open them. I end up having to do this about once every 80 rounds, to keep the memory usage, and the page load speed, under control.

For those of you who use Chrome and are following its release blog, Stable has been updated to the old beta version which supports extensions. However, its basically the old beta channel version -- its still buggy. The dev channel so far is the only version that has "fixed" the alert issue but is still resource intensive. Actually, all three versions still have a terrible memory problem with HV (I'm doubtful its STAT's fault, I tested with it on and off).

Casualfag here: The stat trackers and such are really nice and in-depth, but the feature I considered the most important in Battle Buddy, the Weak/Resist quick reminders, are absent. Is there an option I'm not finding here, or is that the case?

Check the settings tab, you have to turn it on.

Alright something's wrong with my HV STAT.
It keeps tracking item/equipment drops I never got!
First an artifact. Now it's equipment .. no wait
It's recycling old drops from the cache I believe. I did Reset All Stats this morning but these new drops it keeps adding are all old stuff I got in the last couple days. Weird.

Never seen that before. You'll have to delete the cookies if Reset doesn't work.

Hate to say it. But it glitched again. (And this time I did delete all related cookies.)
According to HV STAT I got:
[Average Leather Boots of the Spirit-ward]
[Average Leather Boots of the Spirit-ward]

But I got them once. Not twice.

Just wondering if we could get the name of the gem we currently have in this spot or another open spot. I'd find it less annoying (albeit useful) as the current set up with the pop-up. It be a lot nicer for the mages who can get several in one turn and just need to know which one they currently have.

Its already on my To-Do list for the next version, provided Tenboro doesn't get to it first.

He won't. I asked him about it. He said he was considering adding something to the log to make them more identifiable, but nixed adding something to indicate what you currently have. Of course, he could change his mind.

Well, I guess I'll look into figuring out how to extract the info from the page source, then. Since he gave us a hotkey for it, I won't need to do the fancy "click it to use it" function. If I can find some space, I might use images instead of abbreviating. This'll have to wait till the end of the month, though. I'm in the middle of long-term testing of localStorage, so I don't want to muck around with the code too much until I finish. And then no more funky cookie issues.

Nice. As a suggestion there's the spot to the left and the right of the turn calculator. Or, if you're willing to get more adventurous and labor intensive, you could put it below all of the mobs; which I'm sure would be a pain having to adjust it for each turn but would be right where we're looking.

QUOTE(cmal @ Feb 21 2010, 00:33) *
Well, I guess I'll look into figuring out how to extract the info from the page source, then.

CODE
  to_check = document.getElementById('ikey_p');
  if( to_check != null)
    item_name = to_check.getAttribute('onmouseover').match(/set_infopane_item\('.+?'/img)[0].substring(18);

Should do it (it will give you the name of the gem plus parentheses, so for example 'Soul Gem').

You can lift the onmouseover and onmouseout attributes right out of there so the user gets the info when they mouse-over your gem, but making it click to work would be a royal pain in the ass (assuming it's even possible) since the script uses "this" and expects "this" to be their "this" and not the new "this." But like you said, since there's a hotkey it's hopefully a non-issue for people.

If impatient people want it now, here's an ugly thing that'll do it for you:
CODE
{
  to_check = document.getElementById('ikey_p');
  if( to_check != null)
  {
    item_name =  to_check.getAttribute('onmouseover').match(/set_infopane_item\('.+?'/img)[0].substring(18);

    newElement = document.createElement('div');
    newElement.setAttribute( 'style', "position:absolute; background-color:#A0C2BC; left:300px; top:40px; z-index:999;");
    newElement.setAttribute( 'onmouseover', to_check.getAttribute('onmouseover'));
    newElement.setAttribute( 'onmouseout', to_check.getAttribute('onmouseout'));
    newElement.innerHTML = item_name;

    document.getElementsByTagName( 'body')[0].insertBefore( newElement, null);
  }
}

Just right click on the monkey face, go to "Manage User Scripts...", select HV STAT, hit "Edit", select a text editor (C:\Windows\Notepad will do) and paste it in the top (alternately create a new script with include as "http://hentaiverse.org/*").

Any chance for getting options on which gems we want to see in this version like in the pop-up version. It's obvious enough going from no gems to one because of the highlighting, not so much when it's just changing gems.

Derp, so I lied. I wasn't doing anything, testing was mostly done anyway, and since mkonji did some of the work already, I slapped this together:

Still got to tweak it a bit.

Yep, that's Ye Olde Your Cookies Are Too Big Error. Its particularly bad if you have an old cookie from an old version laying around. It won't matter soon, since the New and Improved Version should be out this weekend, barring any horrible bugs that crop up.

Now that cmal's answered your question, could you delete that huge block of text please? It'd be nice to have a normal-sized page again.

I need a volunteer to help me figure out a weird problem I'm having with Chrome. If you use Chrome to play HV, please send me a PM.
Nevermind, I figured out the problem.
