Every search engine is better than Google imo. For obvious reasons.

I always try using bing first (get those reward points). It is usually pretty good. Then it is duckduckgo, since they don't filter based on their algorithm. And finally google, best for shopping and when I can't find what I am looking for in the other 2.

While Google still dominates in terms of coverage and relevance, it’s also heavily filtered and personalized, which sometimes affects objectivity. DuckDuckGo and Brave, on the other hand, focus more on privacy, but their results can feel limited depending on the query type. Bing has improved a lot recently, especially with its integration of AI tools and multimedia indexing.

All of them have gotten significantly worse. Google frequently doesn't return things I have an exact quote for. Somehow duckduckgo manages to be even worse.

They've all gotten worse for reverse image search.

Came here to post exactly this and you beat me to it, so QFT. Every search engine has neutered their capabilities over the last 10+ years at this point and this transition to AI development has made it markedly worse than the slow decay of yore.

To answer OP, I use a good mix. Bing is my primary search engine but oftentimes I have to use Google or Yandex to find alternative/better results. Long ago are the days of a one-stop shop, though I am aware of the irony in this statement.

startpage and duckduckgo are the only search engines I use. I rarely use Google for searching.
