I mostly used Chrome, but I switched to Opera GX. It has lots of neat features and is super customizable. Am I being spied on? Maybe, maybe not. I pity the fool who has to look through my browser history.

I think Google is objectively the best, but I am getting used to DuckDuckGo!

I keep trying Duck Duck Go and Brave Search but I always end up back to Google because the results are unsatisfying and you really have to know syntax well or the first two won't understand what you're searching for. It's frustrating. Mainly if I'm searching for non political stuff and trying to find tips and tricks for games I get better luck with Google although sometimes Brave's search AI answers some simple questions reasonably well.

depends on what i'm searching for. Google for probably most of the normal stuff, but I have had better luck on some obscure shit (images in particular) on Bing. Probably luck and not particularly search engine ability. Anything but Google for porn.

I usually use Baidu to search for general information. But when I need to find specialized information, I prefer Bing, Google, or DuckDuckGo because they provide more useful and professional content, such as detailed tutorials and technical term explanations. I'm sure you won't find these on Baidu or other smaller search engines. Additionally, search results can vary by region, so trying different search engines is a good strategy. Moreover, with the rise of AI, using tools like ChatGPT, Doubao, or DeepSeek for research can often lead to surprising and valuable insights.

Google, or metasearch engines that use its result.

Bing censors for my country, and DuckDuckGo uses all its censored results, shame.

SearXNG instances could be hit or miss.
They aggregate search engine results and could produce rarer finds.
Useful for finding obscure data, but suffers greatly if you're looking for specific items.

My fav search engines:

Google
DuckDuckGo (It practically delivers the same results as Google but without the [en.wikipedia.org] Filter bubble)
Yandex (especially for image reverse search)
Bing
Qwant

In any case, these and other engines usually have several limitations, such as unindexed pages or a maximum limit of results to show (like when Google says it finds thousands of results but only shows up to 200)
