Google censors so fucking much and bumps up worthless ad focused results to an insane length now a days.. Google is also pretty prone to giving you ".xyz" fake ransomware riddled sites when you're looking for porn.

Bing has gotten a bit worse with the "You can buy this online by..." results, but it doesn't outright censor/delete the results like Google would..

Whenever I go to another site, especially e-hentai or a "private" site, I will open up a new tab or browser window and go to the site from there. That's because if I am at a website such as FB"aye"gove, the site will see where I am jumping to.

Steve Gibson at the old GRC.COM site (Shields Up) that helped spur online discussions of spyware and security problems in the 1990's onwards still has some interesting security podcasts to listen to. I just wish he'd update his Spinrite tool for modern hard drives to allow existing written data to be rewritten in place in order to refresh the magnetism levels. This would be useful for archive hard drives sitting on a shelf year after year. This way, I could just plug panda archive drives into a hard drive dock or hard drive bay drawer and have the bytes refreshed while I go do something else.

i usually use google but when i want to do a search using only chinese/korean/japanese characters i would use duck duck go and baidu along with google to try to find additonal results i did not see on google

I use the libre software Searx, it's a meta search engine that agglomerates search results and formats it to you. The good thing is that it proxies your request and it makes fingerprinting hard.
There are several public servers listed [github.com] here.
Note: Please go in the preferences and add the desired search engines for results. If some results does not appear it is because the search engine blocked them.
