all commercial search engines collect and resell personal data, no it's a no-no. searx is meta engine and customisable, so you can sift results from various search engins. no data collection, except your query which is visible and logged.

So it doesn't even have its own search bots ? Any engine that has its own bots, other than google ? I'm sick of its censorship and obviously any engine that use its censored results.

Startpage until very recently. I swapped to Searx and turned on startpage & ddg engines and have only use google like 2-3 times a month in rare instances.

I tend to try DDG when possible and fall back on other engines when it's not giving what I want.

I do default to DDG searches.

Same here, but I think the occasional nonsense search results will prevent ddg from establishing a larger market share.

Searching for the latest firefox ui disaster gave me irrelevant results. The google result made me reconsider trying ff 93 in compact mode, whenever it will be released.
Though I guess I could try the CSS/style stuff you posted somewhere iirc.

I just updated that for 92, by the way.

Mostly DDG, Google if I'm not finding something, Yandex for Images.

Of cause Google. It is convenient for me to view expunged E-Hentai gallery cache.

I don't run into that situation often.

Duckduckgo. Unless I need to get as many search results as possible. Then I use DDG, Google & Bing.

In addition to the usual ones, I've also had decent luck with Yandex sometimes.

I've used ddg for years, mainly because with yandex which I was using before kept giving me captchas which are very annoying to deal with.
mainly stuck with it because of the convinience of the bangs, easy to throw something into big goog or something else to cross reference.

that said would still enjoy being able to use yandex regularly again, or another better alternative than ddg. I know theres things like searx but thats just jank as well
