Man, all these Republicans butthurt about "Obamacare" make me laugh with their ridiculous claims about how Anti-American it all is when, in the long run, it's going to help America. Maybe not now, but when it all gets hammered out and streamlined.
Besides, it's not like I wasn't being force to pay for shit I didn't agree with in the first place.

So do I. QUOTE(cmal @ Mar 28 2010, 06:14) ![*](style_images/ambience/post_snapback.gif) Sayo, you need to stop changing your sig. Its one thing if its a different image altogether, its another if its the same image changed in some way.
Sorry about that. At least it isn't animated. Well, not on a human timescale at any rate.

That's when I usually go to bed! Course, it's only 11PM in California right now.

GDP spending on health care will increase from 18% to 21% in the next ten years.

Which it would have regardless. If anything, "Obamacare" will slightly lower that, but not by enough to matter. ^^;

I was still paying for Social Security I'll never see. So what's the difference?

There is none which is exactly the problem. At best this bill doesn't cost us any more money than we were already going to be spending. At worst, and the more likely outcome due to the utter lack of cost controls in the bill, spending will increase. Expanding insurance coverage without a way to reduce costs is utter foolishness.

What would you have done differently? And how would it have been more realistic?
