I really wish you guys hadn't fed the troll after midnight. I basically can't enjoy general or adult chat anymore. Yeah, I actually enjoyed them a bit before. QUOTE(BlorgAlmighty @ Jun 1 2011, 09:30) What the fuck, Four is an Immortal Kaiju?

Given there are upwards of 350 of them now, it has lost its exclusivity flavor a little.
Edut: My mistake. I'm actually only #335. Still...

I'm not an Immortal Kaiju, so it is a big deal to me. Shit's gotta be annoying. So many fracking requirements and upgrades. Sure, you could buy a village offa someone, but how many people would be willing to sell their villages? And it would still be hella pricey. Plus, gathering people (though with Wandering Nomads it's probably easier than it sounds) and shit. Mad props, bro. -Vakuen

Well, yeah, it does kind of take a commitment, I guess. But it's one of those things you can prepare for, and one of few things other people can/will help you with. From the day the village was made, less than a month passed before we were done. And if that 15 kaiju requirement wasn't a factor, we would've been done like a week sooner.
Anyway, thanks. The extra 50 stamina, stat boosts and the trophy coming my way later are nice.
Edut: the hardest part, in my mind, was dealing with newbies who can't grasp the concept of "please check the wiki before you ask questions"

QUOTE(TotalWhittle @ Jun 1 2011, 17:18) In my experience, I'm noticing that people I meet online who think the word 'owned' is an appropriate response to everything get really upset really easily. I'm not sure if there's a correlation, but they're inevitably thin-skinned, to the point of taking offense to things that aren't even really offensive. .-. There are no inherently offensive things, being offended is just an excuse for upset people to say it's not their fault. It's a shame such concept as being offended is present in law in any form. Or defamed...

You're rambling.
And I dunno about you, but I'd say that there are things in this world that are inherently offensive. There's just nothing offensive past individual occurences.
Someone trying to kill you, for example, is offensive in most every sense of the word. The cycle of life and death, though, is just an everyday thing.

No. People with terminal diseases who live in constant pain would take an attempt to kill them as mercy. Nothing is universally offensive to everyone in every situation. Nothing.

To be quite honest, if I were terminally ill and someone attempted to violently murder me, I think I'd still take offense. Just speculation, of course.

You didn't say violently. That's totally different. And given the penchant for guro some people have, I'd say my point still stands. Also, the fact that you personally would be offended is irrelevant. This post has been edited by FourThirteen: Jun 3 2011, 01:30

Granted on that point. However, what makes violent murder 'totally different'? Furthermore, if it's totally different, do you truly believe that it isn't, by definition, an offensive act?

Someone in pain who wishes for death would usually rather have it be quick and painless. Violent murder tends to be bloody and painful on the receiving party, even if it's sometimes pretty quick. As to whether I think it isn't an offensive act by definition: no, I don't think it is. I personally think murder is wrong. That doesn't mean everyone does, all the time.
