Yes, but whatever it's called doesn't mean that that's the way it's pronounced, ya turkey.

I'm aware. It's also pronounced ash, at least in old(e) English.

QUOTE Old English
In Old English, æ denotes a sound intermediate between a and e (IPA: [æ]), very much like the short a of cat in many dialects of modern English. Another try?

QUOTE As a letter of the Old English alphabet, it was called æsc ("ash tree") after the Anglo-Saxon futhorc rune ᚫ (Runic letter ansuz.svg), which it transliterated; its traditional name in English is still ash (IPA: /æʃ/).

I meant [ en.wikipedia.org] Aether, however you spell it. I thought that was clear. You know, since æther is the only word anyone uses that has that symbol in it. At least, anyone who isn't a historian or a fucking lunatic. And yes, I consider most non-English speakers to be lunatics. This post has been edited by FourThirteen: Nov 6 2010, 07:12

Well, Ye Olde Englishe, you've once again gone and proven how shitty and needlessly complicated you are, well done. QUOTE(FourThirteen @ Nov 6 2010, 00:11) And yes, I consider most non-English speakers to be lunatics. Fair. QUOTE(alloutboy27 @ Nov 6 2010, 00:18) Why do people hate the new Devil May Cry so much? No one hasn't even played it yet, therefor no one can say it for a fact. They give the weak argument that that isnt the main character that they know and love and that he's emo, but I see no sign of that. The cinematic effects and the trailer was spectacular, the only I don't like is the smoking and the way he has his hair... And it isnt even OUT yet. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) Ill never understand some things.

If it's like any of the others in the series, then it won't be good. As it is being carted off to a completely different development company, entirely, this is reason to suspect that it won't be good. Because it is a dying franchise sucking at the last teat of desperation, this is reason to believe that it won't be good. This post has been edited by radixius: Nov 6 2010, 08:28

Valid point, valid point. To be honest I never thought of DMC ans a dying franchise- just one of those series that were immune to sequel-itis because they blew up a certain genre.
Ive never played any Ninja theory games before. Hell, Ive never even heard of them until I found out about DmC. It was to be expected since I got the latest DMC game after five years of playing the third one that Id be excited.
Now Im merely optimistic and hoping itll come out soon as a result of a time fold in the fabric of the universe. Here's hopin.
But if people actually liked the previous games then why the hell are they bailing on it just because of a character revamp and a new developer? Not the best way to go about it, but come on, its hypocritical in my opinion.

I just checked out the trailer. It is to Devil May Cry what that disgusting ten minute promo was to Mortal Kombat. I hope it flops.

Enjoy the month or so without me. I figure a week or so of posting and then a month not is what I'll be doing for now on-- for now, at least.
