Exactly. Which is why I was devastated when I found it had been renamed.

Well, Merkle can't change his name, and I'm not sure I want to change mine back.

Should I finish A Scanner Darkly and The Colour of Magic before I start reading Make Room! Make Room!, or not?

And if I should finish those two books, which one first?

You should finish A Scanner Darkly first. I haven't read it or the other 2, so I base my suggestion on the fact that Philip K. Dick and I are/were both alumni of the same school.

I haven't read 'A Scanner Darkly' but I usually find Philip K. Dick's books and stories depressing. Colour of Magic is mostly optimistic, "Make Room! Maike Room!" reads like an anticipation of hopeless disaster in slow motion. Depends on your mood...

LMAO! My dad asked me that one time when we were watching TV and the Trix rabbit came on. He asked me why his eyebrows were above his head. xD

True, but depression keeps one grounded, it's a necessity.

I still can't get used to Pratchett's writing style, but I'll re-start that after Scanner so I'm not stuck trying to remember something I stopped reading six months ago.

Which is why it's so appealing. That and because Soylent Green was a pretty okay film.

To make it easier to show emotions on their faces.
