I started with Blue as well, cause I thought Blastoise was cool. One of my sisters got Red, cause she liked Charizard. Strangely, whenever we battled, her Charizard would always beat my Blastoise even when both were 99. Hydro Pump would never hit and she'd Seismic Toss my Blastoise to oblivion. I'd always win in the end, though, since I had a Mewtwo and she didn't. Then I got Silver while my other sister (I have two) got Gold. Then I got Crystal.

I didn't play third gen, though one of my sisters managed to download the rom for Ruby and play it on a computer. We had cousins who owned FireRed and LeafGreen and both my sisters played those for a while.

And then I'm the only one to play fourth gen, since I have a DS and my sisters tend to lean towards MMOs.

I thought Blastoise was cool.

Shoulder cannons = instant win.

True story. I've always stuck to the Water starter, except in Ruby / Sapphire where I went with Fire. And Yellow, where you have to start with Pikachu.

Might go with Grass in Black and White. Pig and Otter don't look that cool.

I always ditched mine as soon as I could get a hold of some Psychics. Or awesome ones like Gyarados. Though Onix and geodude were awesome. I think cubone will always be my favourite.

Ah, the good old days when Psychic was a powerful type. I remember catching a Caterpie and spending an hour or so grinding till I could evolve it into a Butterfree and then leveling that Butterfree to 12 so it could learn Confusion. Wouldn't tackle Brock without it.

Eh, I find Rock Pokemon to be sorta meh for the most part.
