Apparently the bassist of Slipknot died.

Does that matter, really? Is that seriously newsworthy?

He was the bassist, for God's sake. It's usually mixed out, anyway, especially in crap metal.

Not only was he a bassist but a composer and lyric writer for my favorite band, now no longer a nine. He may have been insignificant on-stage but otherwise...

I understand most of the lyrics in spite of my damaged hearing and if you're so lazy to neg google for 4 seconds and search for the lyrics then I guess, it should be a difficult task for you to listen to 1:42-2:05 in this song, and perhaps tell me if you can pull that off or at least compose something more appaling?

I'd like to be able to listen to a song without having to look the lyrics up on Google to find out what's being said. Otherwise, I might as well just listen to some anime OST and nod my head to it like a fucking moron.

No. Probably not as appealing to you, anyway.

But I'm not going to just go out of my way to try to understand something that would have been better if it were clear or not there at all, nor am I going to bullshit myself into assuming it's complex, because it isn't.

Rhythm guitar mashes a few downtuned power chords while the lead guitars trem pick on their downtuned strings in a minor scale within an octave of each other occasionally going into an arpeggio to transition between different minor scales, singer bleats into a microphone, bassist picks single note basslines, which are slightly different depending on if it's a chorus or a verse, keyboardist plays random loops of effect riddled sound while the drummer slams his instrument in a wild fashion and stomps on a double kick bass drum pedal.

Did I miss anything?

Besides the whole meaning of bleating into a microphone or slaming on drums and possibly the option of being a little more open minded, I wouldn't know, nor care because I love the music. Including the lyrics.
