I did not know that. I wonder if the Malaysian Muslims are ignorant as well.
Pakistan is worried about Iran and India, as well as some of the militants from Afghanistan so they need funding support from the Saudi's so they are allied to protect Jordan.
Various Palestinian factions do not recognize the Jordanian and Saudi King as legitimate, and they are worried they get used as a proxy against them. Its also why Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Jordan have a political alliance against Palestinians.
Most Malaysian Muslims do not even know that China has destroyed over 1000 Mosques and published a censored and rewritten domestic Quran... the odds of being aware of some of the complexity in the middle east is a bit unlikely.
They even started demolishing the 'state approved' Mosques in the past few years.
lolercoaster.... the paper that said that the MRNA injections were safe for pregnant women calculated the miscarriage in a misleading way.
The miscarriage rate for women who took the vaccine during the first 20 weeks of pregnancy in the original study (that got the mrna vaccine approved) was 82%. They state that as the cumulative rate across all trimesters was only slightly higher than normal that it was safe. This is exactly the same as the general population study where they merged the data across all age groups where there was a massive spike in risk for men under 45.
ACOG ignored the correction after receiving 11m in US taxpayer funded money to market the injects to pregnant women.
Their follow up study used retrospective data without a control group, and included women that took the vaccine at some stage before getting pregnant. They did not retest giving the jab during the first 20 weeks again.
Whistleblowers also stated that data was suppressed in the v-safe database and the researchers have lost the original study data.
The health data in the UK showed after dose 1 a spike in neo-natal dealths, after dose 2 a spike and a spike after the first booster. They refused to use the vaccine data to check if there was a correlation with the mothers vaccination status because it might cause vaccine hesitancy and they said there was no public health policy response that they could think of if it did show the vaccine was responsible.
Pfizer started a trial on pregnant women to prove it is safe, but then they had so many issues that it was too risky to continue and cancelled the study.
Pfizer: Nothing to see here.
Two fertility studies in Israel dropped female and male fertility for six-twelve months, but in the conclusion they said 'but we still recommend vaccination" and they discontinued the studies.
There was a subthread yesterday about a The View magic set, and how it'd have a card named Guinan, Wise Elder that entered with three time counters and transformed into Whoopi Goldberg, Annoying Asshole ("Neither of them have any abilities.") Today I go to screencap it, and it's already been memory holed.

Its kind of funny. I have been watching the star trek TNG remaster recently. Guinan was always one of my favorite characters, though she doesn't actually particularly do much except Q warns she is secretly powerful or something.

She was always more psychic or perhaps in touch with higher dimensions and basically served the role of the spiritual advisor, and that Q scene was basically harking back to a traditional sprite or fairy/fae type of creature or species, ones that have some powers, not as extensive as the Q, but can still mess with their juju

Yeah it gave the false impression of how wise she was but it was the writers.
I love TNG. The funniest part of the remaster is that you realize that Industrial Light and Magic did all the model shots in epic HD and then the producers muxed it on VHS turning the resolution to potato.
The Dave Chappelle 90s home improvement spin off sitcom is so weird
Its very meta but not very funny. To agree to make the show the producers axed the other comedian Chappelle wanted to work with, so the episode is about loyalty to your friends with some digs at the new guy for lacking talent.
The problem is the replacemetn guy is trying to play the other guy's character which never works.

not sure what you mean, obviously its not really her being wise its the writers, she's a character, its true for all the cast. Especially Picard, who's real life actor is an obnoxious asshole compared to the classy diplomat his character was, and the fact is the actor himself never actually understood the character he was playing, as evident from the shit Picard vanity series where's he was free to do what he wanted and missed the mark by a light year.
And yeah, the VHS is going to be lower res compared to the masters it was shot in, but often that was part of the design. I have a lot of thoughts about the new higher res standard forced on older media that was designed for low res in the first place, besides forced change of aspect rations which ruins tons of shows, there's the fact that like old video games, the resolution it played at when it aired served to cover many things like props, stages, makeup, and even soften the effects. And depending on on the remaster it can really fuck up the original. Like Buffy, or Seinfeld, where they didn't even really make the effort to remaster it. And then there's whatever shit James Cameron is doing with AI on his old movies, worse off isn't even the greedy cost cutting, its the fact he thinks it looks good. Like Jesus James, aren't you supposed to be a visual director? either he's bullshitting everyone to save a buck or he's lost his eyesight in old age.

Depends if they are doing it properly or if its to create cheap streaming content. The newest TNG remaster is fantastic, the only annoying part is unskippable disk intros and previews where they talk about how great they are lol. I get they were super worried they would not break even as they spend 1-200k per episode remastering, but I bought the box set...
For Seinfeld 16:9 streaming 'remaster' it was a quick upscale and they not only changed the ratio they butchered many jokes by editing the timing or content. The real Seinfeld 4k remaster came out this year, on UHD 4k only, in original 4:3 ratio or 1.33:1 and remastered from original negatives.
They did a similar proper remaster of Friends because the streaming version butchered it.
Buffy was as shiet upscale to 1080p. Stargate SG-1 was an upscale using AI, the fixed pirate version is better than the official release.

Yeah all the people that channeled his madness into excellence are gone.
T1 Remaster: Excellent
T2 Remaster: Dogshit; needs to be redone as directors cut.
Aliens Remaster: Mixed... Its made to look bright and modern, there are some AI errors... I generally liked it but it has some problems\
The Abyss: Excellent.. great to have the extended restored version that makes the movie better.
True Lies: Dogshit; AI googly eyes and people looking in the wrong direction.
Avatar: Technically good, but outside of Imax I don't think it is that good of a film**
** I note that I got the fixed high end collectors remaster on 100gb disks, not the original release on 50gb disk. It made a lot of people rage that they paid for the first release which was designed for streaming bwhahaha and the real remaster was released three months later. I feel like Cameron just wants to make people rage.
Some remasters are absolutely amazing and others are super disappointing or worse than bluray. It really depends who works on it, budget and if they are passionate about the film. Its also super confusion as they are films with 2 and maybe a third generation remaster...
Shaun of the dead, the original remaster was shit, but the fixed remaster was absolutely fantastic. I think Simon Pegg took the feedback personally and made sure it was remastered properly.
The pulp fiction second gen remaster looks absolutely fantastic as well.
It can be super confusing to work out which version to get. I feel like this is a very valid argument for piracy if they can not properly label which version is which. Rambo series 4k for example has had six different releases so far.... but the actual full real remaster has not released yet.... It has become meme.

Yeah this is the kind of shit I mean. I'll just stick to the old DVD or Blu-ray releases before the ''remaster'' thing was even a trend.

It fixes the bug on bluray that turns all the lasers gay. They could manually fix the glitch but for some reason they are like 'hmm laser effect is pink now' lets just roll with it.
