Transitioning from male doesn't exclude from draft anymore thanks to Biden. They also tightened the exclusions for mental health.
Wow they did make it harder to exempted, for most disorders it needs to be severe enough to have required inpatient treatment and six or more months of formal outpatient care (one document says 12 months or more for common mental health disorders). That is not something you can just go out to get if you are drafted.
Previously ADHD with a formal diagnosis and requiring medication could have exempted you. Autism spectrum was an auto disqualification.
Looking at their data, only a very small percentage of people diagnosed with severe mental health issues are outpatients for 6months, majority due to the US system is 30 days. Its like a max 100k automatically excluded. So for a lot of people they will have to prove cumulative 6 months, which would probably mean like at least six instances of medical hospitalization or visiting mental health emergency ward. That's a lot for someone under 25.
TLDR; If you want to enlist if you had a disorder requiring inpatient or outpatient care for 12 months you are excluded but we can lower it to 6 months and you can get a exemption letter from doctor.
