In parts of the internet that are well-populated with current and former US soldiers, they pay close attention to our current recruiting shortfalls, and I haven't seen the idea that the migrants would be used even considered. It isn't really plausible. It would be too impossible to integrate mass numbers of non-US citizens, with no particular loyalty to the United States, from a different cultural background, without a minimum level of education, who don't even speak English.

The U.S. hasn't used human wave tactics since our transition to an all-volunteer military after Vietnam. The current military uses sophisticated tactics and equipment which requires a high standard of training. The average US soldier is better trained today than the Special Forces were in Vietnam. Mass recruitment of migrants doesn't work with that.
