Plus hormone blockers are intensely dangerous to give to anyone given the side effects and are only made for severe, rare cases because of these side effects. Add to THAT the sociopaths on the internet that get off on controlling other people's lives through any means necessary and dress like women while still presenting themselves 1000% as male and making up bullshit pronouns to obfuscate any accountability when they are caught molesting children and raping women and then sent to WOMEN'S prisons to rape even MORE women. And then you're not even taking into account that there's no standardized operation for gender reassignment, every procedure is an experiment and can cause even more problems, which, surprise, cutting a goddamn wound into your grundle and then having to FORCE IT OPEN REGULARLY because it tries to heal itself and grows hair and fills with mucous and needs to be redone on the regular because it WILL close itself eventually. What reasons do we have to treat THESE trannies regularly? Why are they not ousted from the movement?

There has clearly been a rubicon crossing moment and we are past it, so seriously, what part of any of this sounds safe, legal, and fine for children to engage in? I'd rather self-own than pay the medical community millions of dollars to stay alive in a broken husk of a body.

I think the ones you mention might not be ousted because 1) they will make the biggest harrumph out of it they possibly can and 2) who's to say that a specific person's expression of identity is valid or not?

I agree with you on a fair number of those points, but that's just my suggested answer for that last question.

I think it would be great if people would stop giving the drama queens a platform, so we could just accept people without having to question their validity.

Also, none of what I have said in my above post is specifically concerning trans children. I think those problems are another can of worms that I don't have good answers for.

For the record, I was speaking at length with an adult trans woman about her experiences in school last night. I won't go into any specifics because I value her friendship and don't want to betray her trust, but suffice it to say that I believe her and that discussion has directly colored my thoughts on this.

I think we should be nice to people by default, and only behave otherwise on a person-by-person basis. Instead of typecasting entire groups and just saying "Oh, but THEY'RE the good ones" about a few individuals from that group.

Damn, I did not think it was that bad, but there was huge number of children that also had a diagnosis of Austism spectrum disorder, which is known to be highly correlated with lacking adherence to gender norms. So Sweden is going to diagnose for Autism first now.... Doesn't that mean there was massive medical malpractice? yikes.

Lastly they will restrict puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones and require a longer term DSM diagnosis of gender dysphoria by a registered clinical psychologist (as opposed to school councilors, teachers and general health practitioners).

IDK if I'd ascribe to that statement.

I truly don't know why I've become acquainted with so many trans girls (actually, I probably do: CS and IT seem to have a statistically significant proportion of trans women), but I can guarantee you the ones I've met haven't been psychopaths... and I do know what a psychopath looks like, having made the mistake of inviting a (cis) girl over once who turned out to be one. I'm glad I've moved since then.

To be honest the MtF's and the one FtM that I know are all nice people, with a single exception who is still nice enough but a little annoying to be around in the same ways a lot of cishet people can be annoying to be around. Like, the 'person who asks for help with homework so often that they're basically asking me to do their homework for them' kind of annoying. Her aside, I've yet to have too bad of experiences with them. And that wasn't on account of being trans, it was just a more general human thing.

And I honestly think the one who was asking me to do homework was really just socially unaware of how she was coming off in the same way a lot of people on the autism spectrum (like me) can be sometimes.
