The committee defended the people that took down the barriers, encouraged the crowd to go through with loudspeakers and were the first to break into the building and let people in. They haven't really explained why they did that, and have only said that they could not confirm nor deny the involvement of feds and informants on the day.
Biden's stuff up with the Afghanistan withdrawal was way worse than Benghazi and yet people don't seem to care as much. Withdrew in the worst possible way because he wanted to give a speech about history rhyming by withdrawing on the same day they invaded. Unfortunately they had vastly exceeded the previously negotiated withdrawal date, but they had been scaling back support. 90% of money that went to the Afghanistan war effort was to private US contractors... so the Afghanistan Army were barely functional meat shields. Biden redirected air support to random targets in other countries and just said he did it because they put the papers on his desk and he signed without reading them....
Then when the withdrawal operation collapsed and Biden launched drone strikes based on poor intelligence, including intel from the Taliban, and blew up random innocent men, women and children. Like they literally drone striked aid workers giving out water to children working for a US org.. because Biden was like 'C'mon man they are making me look weak we have to drone strike someone give me any target, I don't give a shit'. It took independent journalists a few hours to verify because they were working for a US AID not for profit.
