I found a year-past-use-by-date sealed block of mild cheddar in the back of my fridge just now.
It sat so long because I don't care for mild cheddar.
Just opened it and ate some on a sandwich; the cheese definitely got sharper during that year or two since I bought it, and I am pleased.
I chose to open it today because the only other option was pre-sliced colby someone left here and that's worse than mild cheddar.
BTW, it was accompanied on that sandwich by just-unsealed grey poupon that should have been used by a year before the cheese was supposed to be used by.
If this was a bad idea, I guess I'll find out in the next few hours/couple days. I think it'll be fine. I already sort of knew "sell by" dates for non-meat, non-bread products are often bullshit (and depending on the preservatives, bread can be fine too.)

That looks more like 60-70 years ago to me, based on things like the haircuts/clothes and the format (probably 8mm, also the specific colors differ between early and later 8mm film. I associate this blue/green bias with earlier stuff).

I think hard cheese can last way longer. I find shredded cheese goes off so fast. I was once eating nachos and couldn't work out what the blue bits were, and it used to be the shredded cheese.

The gay super alien, who is Doctor Who's father/mother, is called ICON, because he/she/them wants to be the number one gay ICON and be queen of all universes.

Tom Baker was the best I think. I quite liked the reboot but it was starting to slow down. Didn't expect it to go off a cliff like it did.
They should have just ended it after the 13th doctor like the original show writers predicted the show would run out of material and originality by then.

Classic Who, I'll give you. David Tennant knocked it out of the park and set an incredibly high bar for new Who to follow. I think with better material, Peter Capaldi could have met it but he really was hamstrung with the shite he had to work with. We could have had Doctor Malcolm Tucker, I'd have killed for that.

Yeah I think they lost half of their good writers as of Capaldi. Some episodes were great but others just had terrible writing.
Kill the Moon was shit. Forest of the night was pretty shit. Robot of Sherwood could have been good but went downhill after 5 mins. The caretaker was shit. The psychic monks arc was shit. They made doctor who break character multiple times to make him randomly misogynistic so they could have an anti-patriarchy progressive message.
When Stephen Moffat took over the quality started to drop, then just fell off a cliff when Chris Chibnall took over.
I don't know how Russel T Davies can even save the show. Maybe they can literally kill the doctor and the Master takes over as the Doctor.
That would actually be interesting.
I think the reboot jumped the shark when Drumpf killed an killer alien spider that was dying and everyone was like 'that was a metaphor for xenophobia', you should let aliens kill you.
