Far left socialist Dems, then the establishment neo liberal Dems. Then there are the marxist / democratic socialists.

The problem is that the way it is setup with two parties is that all the factions are less effective. The main faction is the pro-war, pro-corporation pro-wall street neoliberal Dems and Republicans rotating faction. If you look at where there was the most election 'fortification' last time, it was helping establishment Dems and Reps. On both sides the fortification defeated popularist candidates.

I feel your pain. I used to be a gacha addict, I played the shit out of FFBE when I was into it. I only quit because I pulled a Gilgamesh (THE top tier unit at the time) and I felt absolutely nothing. And realised that if that was how I felt about it all, I probably shouldn't keep playing it.

A long time ago (never checked the details), I heard that laws more or less said: "rape is when the culprit penetrate the victim without consent", or worst, "rape is when the culprit penetrate the woman without consent", thus making women committing rape technically legal.

You are all correct.

Its due to modern neutral police reporting practices in the UK. Progressive (mostly female) politicians are outraged that they got what they asked without thinking of the implications and want the laws fixed to reflect the old norms again. Mostly male politicians are asking for debate and egalitarian law reforms.

The issues seem to be:
- Reporting of Trans men and women, and what gender they are reported under.
- Reporting of same sex couples eg lesbians. Gays have always been persecuted so that's fine?
- Reporting of domestic abuse by women has gone way up. (Alcohol abuse by women has gone through the roof). Also abuse against children by men and women is way up.
- Sexual assaults in certain areas of London are way under reported still, which was one of the goals to be addressed by the reporting changes.
