The problem is US debt. The level of debt is unsustainable normally but they are relying on the petro-dollar arrangement to be able to have lower interest rates and higher borrowing power. As a result the US has made a lot of dicey decisions to keep the relationship with the Saudi's strong but they have just endlessly caused destabilization.

If the US could pay down the debt and become energy sufficient they would have a chance of remaining number 1. As it currently stands its very attractive for opposing countries to target the pillars supporting the US. Hence why the CCP is backing the Taliban. The US is also facing a major problem of advanced tech manufacturing, where China is stockpiling all the rare earth metals and trying to monopolize production.

Unfortunately US politics is stuck in the mud or sinking. As the honourable King O'Malley said "the problems that America has today they will still have in 100 years from now"

In a previous post, it was mentioned that you could sort of gauge what is in stock at walmart's dry goods section by looking at their walmart.com site after you register and set your preferred store location. I mentioned the inventory pattern and gave an example. Of course, a year later and things would probably be different as walmart has kept on evolving their website.

With regards to the thing you pointed out about inaccuracy, there is one more factor. Small items that are shopliftable may show they are in stock at your preferred store, but if you go there, they are out of stock due to shoplifters.
