DC Comics has been dead since Crisis on Infinite Earths concluded (and "Whatever Happened to the Man of Tomorrow?" was published).

By the way, I'm saying that was a great place to just end the stories and leave things. I liked Crisis and "Whatever Happened to the Man of Tomorrow." Even if there's plenty of good stuff after that point, I have to draw a line somewhere and there's still a massive back-catalogue of old comics to read before I should even think about newer ones.

Some new comics are fine, and if they're trying to broaden their audience by making additional characters then that's kinda dumb but nothing new. Kind of a bad sounding initial concept this time around, but then again a lot of golden age and silver age comics are dumb/bad but evolved into much more interesting and nuanced characters over time. If they sell well, good for them, it's just probably not a comic for me.

But I'm just not particularly interested. I think the Bronze Age was pretty good and there are a lot of those comics left to read. And also a crap-ton of old manga (a lot of Tezuka Osamu stuff I still need to read, for instance).

There's still plenty of fine western comic authors out there, working inside and outside of DC. Are they all good? Nah, probably not, just demographically speaking. But that new netflix pandering show from a month or two ago sounds so much worse than this is and honestly it doesn't impact me at all so whatever. Hope someone else likes it, I guess.

Yeah I thought that crisis on infinite earths was pretty interesting. However it seems the percentage of good comics produced by the mainstream companies is collapsing. It should be logical if they say their goal is for all content to target a minority of consumers.

5% of their consumers are on Twitter for example.


The series invincible for example was pretty good, it ticked off most of the woke checkbox, I think there was only one character I didn't like because they were arbitrarily too woke, the rest were pretty well developed characters:

Hero: Literally I nearly died saving you. You would be dead if I didn't do that.

Woke Romantic Interest: You didn't take into consideration my lived experience so I am dumping you, I am a strong and independent woman. You should have come help me campaign for trans rights instead of saving the world, you bigot.

If they sell well, good for them, it's just probably not a comic for me.

Its my view is that you should make as much content to target as many people as possible. Its needs to be good and to sell though? Its not even selling to their target audiences.

People on twitter have been trained by universities to inject their religion into anything but that does not make things better necessarily. Its like how Christians make content that is usually pretty lame and boring and they just assume Christians will buy it arbitrarily.

The only comic i read is milftoon.

Of course there are genuine cases of hardship however there is currently both a labor shortage and high unemployment simultaneously due to the benefits + rent deferral. If you are receiving tax free money and not paying rent, small business are estimating that the take disposable income to be equivalent to if you were earning $25-30 an hour normally.

It depends on the number of landlords. Depends on the economy but the problem is the percentage of people that are predominately investing in real-estate rather than productive enterprise. Some level is good because it encourages new buildings to be built, but if the cost of houses and rent is going up too high then it is a problem.

If people are purely investing into 'rent seeking' investments rather than capital and entrepreneurship then it becomes a long term structural problem. Unfortunately it becomes a feedback loop due to low interest rates where more people investing in realestate leads to more people investing in real estate as property prices grow at an unsustainable rate and lead to an affordabiltiy crisis. The stock market as an alternative has the potential for higher growth in the longer term but also much higher risk.

edit: Holy crap, as the audits are being done the issues they are finding are way beyond the margin of victory.
- 8 million dead voters
- Voters from addresses that don't exist
- Voters that left electorates more than a month voting in both locations
- Ballot harvesting from migrants, homeless and migrants
- Ballots not reacting the voting centers and voting centers losing ballots / chain of custody documents / digital back ups of voting records
- Ballots being printed incorrectly leading to ridiculous adjudication rates (70%+ in some counties)
- The electoral roll being out of date and ballots being sent to the wrong addresses and being double counted.
- People requesting new ballots due to damage and all ballots with the same serial number being counted (people effectively voting three times).
- The platform the voting system was on being compromised by hackers and the voting machines operating with a connection to web due to incorrect configuration.
- Mystery ballots appearing across the board. They managed to hit 110% of voters in some areas (100% is impossible)

The outcome of the election won't change at this stage, but normally you would fix the issues but establishment Democrats and Republicans are blocking corrective measures. The media is not reporting that several non-establishment democrats were affected as well and claimed that there major issues affecting the outcome for them.

Its so retarded, they said that they said you would not be able to vote twice, but people were able to vote 3-4 times and it was counted. Thats a major screw up.
