Seeing discussions on the USA, I'm made to think: UK managed to leave the "European Union", but could "parts" of the "America Union", aka USA, also manage to "leave" somehow? Probably a huge headache if attempted to be thought about seriously.
The only state that has a legal right to secede would be Texas. It was one of the conditions agreed upon when it got statehood.
Trump made his long-awaited appearance at CPAC on Sunday and gave a great long speech. He took the stage late due to delays and greeting supporters and his hair was a bit ashy gray blonde and his skin not as orange but no one cared because he's so awesome. He seemed slimmer, probably due to not stress eating and also from not having to wear 40lbs of Kevlar.
As expected, he ripped Biden a new one but it was all true how that failure of a potato is destroying our country. Trump never came out and technically said I'm going to run for president again in 2024 but he strongly hinted at it a couple times. It was enough to make everyone go wild and celebrate. At times the rally chants of USA and We Love You filled the air along with joyous dancing, cheering and lots and lots of cellphones recording the momentous occasion.
Trump also said he's not going to form his own separate political party and it was fake news. I only heard about him possibly forming the Patriot party in YouTube comments. I think people just wanted him to break free of the Repubs due to the rinos but he'll take care of them somewhere down the road, or the voters will. Pence and several others didn't even show up at that CPAC thing due to being traitorous scum.
[ttsreader.com] https://ttsreader.com/fr/ I was wondering if I could find a simple and not overly suspicious and/or hard to use text-to-speech generator on the net, and I found the thing above. Enabling just the main domain in NoScript is enough to get this* to work (unlike the main english version and other variants that require javascript from tons of websites, damn it (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/mad.gif) ).
And added bonus, it's almost named tits reader.
*french version, though you can change voice language, and it's not hard to understand the interface
So what's this Dr Seuss cancel culture shit? Six books are being cancelled from future publication. “These books portray people in ways that are hurtful and wrong,” Dr. Seuss Enterprises writes.
They're drawings. Goofy fucking drawings, they're not people. A cartoony drawing of an Asian guy with chopsticks and a bowl of rice? Have you seen the way he drew plants? My houseplants don't care.
ISIS & the former Ottoman Empire are no different from the Nazis. The so-called "religion of peace" those pigs still professing didn't prevent them from carrying out mass killings of non-Muslims.
One newscast said that Dr Seuss's family (that runs the publishing company) were the ones to make the decision to self-censor these books. The family said their decision is primarily due to feedback from three major groups: teachers, academics, and specialists. They didn't define what "specialists" are.
Dr Seuss is a mild bellweather test case for the federal government accepting Cancel Culture as an input to determine who or what gets funding in the education system. That's because Dr Seuss books get some government subsidies in order to make them available to many school systems across the entire country to encourage reading. The Seuss books are popular and that's why they have always gotten support from the Dept of Education. The Obama administration supported Seuss books as part of the reading initiative program. Michelle Obama explictly supported Seuss books and even read one to children. Melania "copycat" Trump did the same and the Trump administration also supported Seuss as part of the reading initiative program to encourage schoolchildren to read more. The newscast showed that Biden's administration was asked if they would reduce or remove support for Seuss from the reading initiative and there was no real answer as of yet (since the administration's answer was check with the Dept of Education (presumably when it releases news of what gets funded (or not))). Meanwhile, places like The Washington Post defended cancel culture by saying Dr Seuss isn't a victim of cancel culture. They say Dr Seuss's racist creations should be removed from access and that isn't cancel culture.
More like far left went through all of the books and could barely find anything to complain about in six books and so they cancelled them for clout.
Rofl, I went through the books and it was because there were characters maybe inspired by Arabs and Indians, it wasn't particularly racist but it was representing foreign clothes as being fantastical / foreign and that is offensive to white women with dyed hair.
Ironically white women with multicolored hair probably belong in a Dr Sues book as the antagonist of some of the stories. I think they get their fashion from there, which relates to their infantile personalities.
Sales for popular Dr. Seuss titles have soared on Amazon and Barnes and Noble following the announcement that six of the children's book author's titles are no longer being sold because of racist and insensitive imagery.
Who didn't see that coming? The price went up on all of them, even the ones still in publication. Publicity stunt or just good fortune? It's always fun to see the backlash on stupidity.
