People are less intelligent in countries where the curriculum is more intense, in Finland test scores are high and performance is high despite little to no homework and very short school hours.
Since the mid 20th century the USA has had to work harder to make sure everyone keeps up, everyone has to study hours upon hours of useless subjects which are really brain exercises in disguise to compensate for innate lack of ability. This is despite the great emphasis on critical thinking bypassing the need for rote memorization more common decades ago.
If the horse is weak, the jockey can make up for it by working harder, until the horse finally collapses.
I also suspect work hours are shorter in countries with less mental struggle. The exception are countries with very low birth rates meaning high labor shortages and an inability to adopt new technology. School hours are also longer in countries where excessive time is spent rote memorizing, hence Japan's absurdly long hours are unrelated to the kind in the USA.

RIP John Oliver, terminal TDS. He used to be funny on the Daily show.
The left keeps claiming that Trump said that Nazi's were fine people but in the transcript he said he condemned white nationalists and Neo-Nazis like 20 times.
"I’m not talking about the neo-Nazis and the white nationalists -- because they should be condemned totally."
Well that's not clear. However the retractions were issued later and no one in the media gives a shit about the truth.
Trump also said he would not tear down Robert E Lee statues illegally because then the same mob would want to tear down Jefferson, and Washington statues...

Funny; I just think people need to work smarter, not harder.
I like to know the underlying reasons for things (I typically take an engineer's viewpoint), but not everyone necessarily needs to. I don't expect someone to have an understanding of FORTH in order to buy a drink from hypothetical vending machines programmed using FORTH.
Also, as long as you can apply things correctly I see no problems with aids like calculators in math classes, even the ones that can solve algebraic & calculus problems symbolically.
I was the kid who read the most out of anyone in my class back in primary school where we'd keep track of how many books and pages we read all year. I still graduated middle-of-the-pack, though.
Also, having a roommate from Vietnam who went through the stereotypical asian education and came to the states to try to get away from all of that shit, I don't think the higher suicide rates there are without explanation.
IDK if I'll reply to responses to this, mostly been trying to ignore this section of the forum recently.
Re: trump on retards: He took his sweet time to properly condemn them after saying the stupid "both sides" thing. Agreed though he was better on TDS. I still miss Jon Stewart's lead.

He condemned them 48 hours after the incident, the both sides comment was cherry picked out of a discussion where he condemned them a whole ton of times and specifically clarified that he did not support them. The media was trying to make a story about why he didn't jump the gun and condemn them based on Twitter speculation, like the democrats are doing now and inflaming the situation everywhere...
He was saying that there were antagonists on both sides Anitfa and the white supremacists, and regular people caught up on both sides such as people that did not want the statues destroyed. Its literally a centrist position.
The media took it out of context and even changed the quote and how they cite it.
Your order of events are wrong as well, he condemned them after 48 hours and the media at the next press conference grilled him about why he did not instantly condemn them.
it went from in full context:
I wanted to wait for the facts to come out, then I biggly condemned the white supremacists and neo-nazis with the greatest and best worded condemnation of all time from any president. I did not respond instantly before I could check the facts unlike the fake news because we saw there were also good people on both sides. I want to clarify that I do not support the neo nazis or the white supremacists in any way, but there were regular people concerned about the statue of Robert Lee being pulled down. I also condemn ANTIFA that were antagonists at the event as well.
Media: Trump says Nazis and white supremacists are good people.
Don't trust me, read the whole transcript. Watch out for the red pills.

Comparing the USA education and work system with east Asia like Japan, they have the opposite problem, they treat their population as dumber than they really are. They don't let them do things using their head, they make them memorize and do useless tasks they way they did 50 years ago. People still use fax machines in Japan for things done differently in the west or the rest of Asia.

I am not sure if that is possible but it is funny that Jack Chan is in deep shit.
Karma.
Not on their own but i think once shit goes down one way or another(every asian nation hates the chinese) a coalition will form and assist Taiwan reconquista their homeland.
I was also thinking this is my favorite black man.

Between being a nazi and not being a nazi, this is one time where I really don't want to be in the center. I'd like to stay as far as possible.

watch out for red pills
I've avoided being redpilled despite frequenting 8ch back when it existed and still being on a different board with a disturbing number of those people even now. But thanks for the warning. They have interesting viewpoints for me, but nothing more. It's mostly a "you do you, I guess, but wouldn't it be much easier if you just chilled a little?" thing.

CNN didn't tell him that, though.
I don't watch TV news (except occasionally for PBS's newshour program at 6PM).

I used to love the Britcoms back when they would air those and the BBC costume dramas that had lots of humping. Now it's Doc Martin and Call the Midwife. There's also NOVA, the occasional nature documentary and the classic Lawrence Welk Show. It's totally sappy, beyond gay and not metal but I watch Larry Welk to see the olden days when everyone was white.
