I don't understand this... either they just made that Mandela movie and released it early to capitalize on his death, or they made it a while ago and deliberately waited for him to die to release it and capitalize on his death. Either way, it's a disgusting display of opportunistic greed.

Okay, I see how it is. It got a limited release earlier this year, and probably would've run its course quietly without mainstream attention like any independent film of its caliber, but then the man croaked and people saw dollar signs, so suddenly it's nominated for 3 golden globes.
