Wait. What? They're actually turning that into a movie? Oh dear baby geezus, deliver me from stupid book to movie adaptations of books that were shitty in the first place.

Yah. The scary thing is that the book is pretty new too. Which means Hollywood is really grasping at straws this early into the year...

with things like jack and jill my expectation aint that high to begin with, maybe the superhero movies will provide some entertainment, one thing is certain im not going to waste money on 3d that crap is overrated. well maybe the Hobbit, edit: To be honest I'm intrigued on the honest Abe movie, haven't read the book of course, one bad movie a year is allowed. I probably did too? 6th grade I read The Hobbit, shortly after I read the trilogy. I don't know when it did or didn't become cool, but there it is.

imho if you didnt read the Silmarillion first, the hobbit and the lord of the rings dont have any rhyme nor reason.

I picked that up back in middle school too, but it didn't interest me too much, so I put it down less than a chapter in... I don't care about the mechanics of a fantasy world enough to read a whole book about the setting. That and I was more busy trying to pick up chicks in P.E. ... Never worked :<

The Silmarillion had no rhyme or reason.

Did you read it drunk or high? if not, that's the problem :3 In truth the first time its a bitch to read, the second time you more or less understand the language and by the third time you understand it completely, and the hobbit and lord become whole different stories, Tom Bombadil him you have to keep in mind. He's the anchor. This post has been edited by Azraelgt: Feb 7 2012, 03:56
