I'd definitely be up for it as well. We'll give it a loving home in FSZ this time.

No, the moment has long passed, and it would get stale pretty quick. Besides, it has to be started by some poor unsuspecting schmuck who has no clue what his thread is in for; its only funny that way.

I could argue otherwise, but I agree it would definitely lose its distinct flavor without that. I'd like something else to fill the void, but it can't feel too forced.

Of which only about 5 are being frequented.... Instead of taking down the RP forum, they could've cleaned up general chat.... I wanted to make an RP, one that people could be intersted in, not like those sick verbal masturbations that infested it, but in the end, my flawed character made sure that I didn't. Also: 413, ever feeling like trying that again? Now that there's no RP forum anymore, it'd catch more attention this time just because it'll have to be in here....

I think it's a well-known fact that any anonymous person who is on the internet knows more about global climate change that climatologists. I mean it makes perfect sense to me that a truck driver would more know about weather patterns and cause and effect than someone who does that shit for a living.
America! Fuck no!

The Chief Meteorologist at the station I work at says that, while there is global warming, it's not as imperative an issue as a lot of people are making it due to weather being cyclic and that we're in a warm phase right now, which can cause a lot of the extreme weather we've been seeing lately. The reason winter's been so doinked up this year is because of the Jet Stream being so close to the arctic circle, whereas last year the Jet Stream was in the southern part of the country, which is why the winter was incredibly harsh.
It just makes sense that there would be global warming and more attention being paid to it due to the amount of methane and other gases that the human body alone lets off. There were people saying "cow flatulence is party responsible for global warming." And if that's true, then consider the 7 billion useless human beings inhabiting this godforsaken orb, and what are they really doing other than sucking up whatever good is left in the planet for their own disgusting gain? I'm guilty of this as well.
And all the giant earthquakes and what have you? How do we know that all the weight of the people on these tectonic plates isn't causing more pressure than there was in the 1920s and that's why there's been such enormous tsunamis and earthquakes and other destruction that could result from that?
I mean, that's my theory, but, whatever, I'm not a scientist.

I'm not saying definitively one way or another, I just find it humorous that people who are in no intellectual position to judge such a thing think that their take on the situation matters. They don't tell people researching cancer that they're full of shit and they can cure it with bleach. Yet in something that can affect the entire globe, they think that "well it snowed a lot this winter so that proves there's no such thing as global climate change" is sufficient enough to stop the research.

How do we know that all the weight of the people on these tectonic plates isn't causing more pressure than there was in the 1920s and that's why there's been such enormous tsunamis and earthquakes and other destruction that could result from that? If there were no humans, the same weight would have been in animals or plants on the same territory instead. And the sum of weight of humans is negligible compared to the weight of just the ground surface, so no. But you probably meant it as an example of stupid reasoning anyway, and I just have no sense of humor. Not at all. It's mostly just theory. It'd be interesting to see, though. Feral animals rarely reproduce beyond the capacity of resources that are available. At least not without some sort of mechanism to stop it. If we could find the animals native to a region, probably wherever the tectonic plates lie, see the average weight of those creatures and hypothesize the amount that would still be alive while comparing that to the current average weight of a human being from that same region and adding up the estimated population, there would be some very interesting numbers. It would be an intriguing study, in any case. QUOTE(Dlaglacz @ Jan 15 2012, 02:47) It's called democracy. As opposed to meritocracy.
More to the fault of deregulation of the free market. But whatever you say, I guess.

I'm sure I'll feel like it from time to time. I don't think I'll be able to sustain any level of enthusiasm about it. Maybe if I find a decent online coin-flipper device, that'll make deciding whose character kills whose easier at least.

Heh, I've been sleeping over at a pal's and he reminded me that I fidget like a fish in the dry while sleeping. We shared the same bed, because it was -theoretically- big enough and because there was no other matress and the ground had no carpets and was fucking cold. He told me, that I kicked him several times and when he finally woke up in th morning by himself, he found me lying on the ground. He was so kind to try to carry me back up on the matress, but unfrotunatley, he woke me up with that... (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/heh.gif) Anyways, point of story: My pals generally comment my erratic sleep movements when I am with them, one even compared it with scenes from the exorcist (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)
