So apparently, New Vegas uses FO3's engine, right down to the GECK. At least it'll be relatively easy to port over some of the mods.

I've heard it's been called sequel of the year or some such. Though Fallout 3s graphics were kinda' shitty, I'm curious about NV. I wonder how "adult" it is.

Had it pre-ordered on Steam since July or somesuch. Looks like it'll be pretty good, but I still have to get around to finishing Fallout 3 and the DLC due to tossery. |

Just checked out the wiki. Not much new stuff. Gambling, Reputation (not new) and some new VATS animations.
So that's another game I was looking foreward to, shitcanned before I even got it. The other being Black Ops.

I'll probably get around to NV eventually. I never started Broken Steel, Operation Zeta, or Point Lookout due to Bethesda's fuckups with their shit and having more fun dicking around with the GECK. I'm pretty sure I invested more time modding than I did actually playing.
NV's also supposed to be more FPS-like with its gun mechanics. FO3 was Oblivion With Guns, and the Guns didn't work very well. I'm looking forward to that, as well.
