Anto's back. I guess he was on a toot watching the soccer game for the past few days. ROFL.
Is it over yet? Who won?

I had an uncle who held similar philosophies. He was beaten to death on a street in Tehran by the police, nigh on 30 years ago, whilst in a drunken stupor.

Why do Americans call their sport "football" anyway? The only time the ball ever comes into contact with feet is when it gets punted. Most of the time, they're giving it to a guy who carries it and runs into a wall of other dudes. Not that it isn't amusing when there's an amazing play.

That's the truest thing in the history of eternal foreverness. The England players will be crying into their ruby-encrusted beer glasses tonight. Overpaid silly-nannies.

I don't know why. Headers are one of the one main strategies for scoring. Yes, people score with their feet, but, most planned scoring attempts seem to involve heading the ball in. There are also field goals, PATs, and kickoffs.

Here in the U.S. it's called soccer, and nobody watches it.

It's not like that anymore, more like it's less popular than the traditional "US sports", but is gaining more popularity, and no wonder, it's the king of sports after all. This post has been edited by cmdct: Jun 28 2010, 03:07

I thought tennis was the king of sports. And no one here watches that, either. Or they don't admit to it. But that was insane how long that one tennis match lasted at Wimbledon. I heard something about it on the news is how I know. Oh, and didn't an American win it? (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

I've turned on the shitty sporting event that is called the World Cup. Headers or attempts at headers seem to be as common as shots on the goal. QUOTE(Tenseigamoon @ Jun 27 2010, 18:15) I thought tennis was the king of sports. And no one here watches that, either. Or they don't admit to it.
Tennis is only popular in the U.S. when there is a good U.S. player. This post has been edited by Boggyb: Jun 28 2010, 03:26
