It's amazing how it takes less than 3 minutes for someone to come in and mess up a Serious Debate Thread.

First off, you shouldn't have put that thread in Serious Debates. Secondly, we've had threads like that in the past with people making suggestions as to who will be the savior mod of E-H and in the end, it's all for nothing. Tenboro has his own thoughts in his head on the matter and he usually ignores everything we have to say about it.

No, this all started before I was up too late. I admit I honestly have no idea at this point if I ever intended there to be debate. However, what Bladejtr was not debate, it was not on topic, it was just an insult. No one ever suggested me as a mod, and anyone who would is an idiot because it goes without saying. What's probably the most infuriating about it all was that I had juggled the idea of mentioning how terrible a mod I would be, but I thought it was redundant. Shit stinks, the sun is very hot, BradRepko is bat shit crazy, these are widely accepted facts. If you bring up the idea of me as a mod in a serious debate you are either A) Crazier than me (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/cool.gif) Don't know me C) Not being serious; or D) Insulting me.

A and B are acceptable options, but C or D actually violate the rules of fucking Sub-forum, as written by Tenboro.
You are aware that is the Serious Debate forum. The Free Speech Zone is for saying any random opinion. The Serious Debate Forum has rules.

Your thread was simply a rehash of the Somebody You Like / Trust thread with the word Mod added onto it. It wasn't a debate. Why is a non-debate thread in a Serious Debate subforum? It wasn't even fucking serious no matter how you tried to paint it as such.

Not quite. After the conversations yesterday in regards to Bunbun, I was curious as to who people would trust as a Mod on this site. Who you trust and who you trust as a mod are two very different things. A mod has to be more fair minded than most, not afraid to make tough decisions, and be committed to the site. There are people I personally trust, but I wouldn't trust them with the sight. Also, you don't necessarily have to like somebody to think they'd make a good mod.

Well, I honestly didn't want to try and get people to mod positions, and I knew it would be hopeless to try. I did want to know who people trust however, partly because I wanted to see if some of the people I have no confidence I'm being to harsh on and biased against. I was also curious to know if people felt the same way about some people than I do.

I debated where to put the thread, but I had a tough time. I didn't want to put it in Website Discussion because I didn't want to make it seem like I was trying to officially nominate anybody; I just wanted people's opinions. I didn't want to put it in the Free Speech Zone because I didn't want it to turn into people hating on everybody. Now that I think about it, I didn't really want a debate either, I just wanted to know who people trusted and why they trusted him, so I guess I should have put it in the General Discussion forum. Shit. I always fail on placing my threads in the right places.
