It's amazing how it takes less than 3 minutes for someone to come in and mess up a Serious Debate Thread.

I know dude, That was disgusting. I was shocked at the 1st two responses, and I can't tell you to not get offended by this as I myself found it absolutely repugnant behaviour coming from the site admin.

I can deal with Tenboro's comment, it was a light-hearted joke. What bugs me is Bladejtr's comment. The fact that he would even think to consider me as a mod is highly retarded. I don't even trust myself with that kind of responsibility. The fact that he would say "not you" would mean that, for a brief moment, he considered what it would be like for me being mod. For that brief moment, his mind lapsed into mental retardation, because the idea that such an obvious thing would need to be said is retarded. He might as well have said 2 + 2 = 4 or that shit smells, because that's the level of "duh" he felt the need to say.

Seriously, Bladejtr, you are the only person who thought that needed that to be said, because everyone else knows I'm not mod material. The fact that you would even think I would even consider being a mod is highly disturbing. If I was given that kind of responsibility, I'd probably leave the site because I can't handle that level of responsibility. The fact that you would break all the special rules that apply to that forum shows that you have no respect for the site, it's rules, or it's staff.

Thank you, Bladejtr, for conjuring up nightmarish images of the dystopian setting this site would be if I was a mod though. I'm sure poor Marv won't be able to sleep for a week without making up screaming. Imagine if rule #2 was spammed like mad, and anything found the slightest bit offensive removed. The whole site would be ruled like a kindergarten classroom, any name calling being dealt with a reprimand and the post remove, and repeated warnings leading to a time-out (suspension). You'd be allowed to say what you want about people off site, but when it comes to the other members, they'd be off limits. The Free Speech Zone would be a thing of the past, negging would be eliminated, and the number #1 most frequent saying would be "If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all."

You know, you have quite the inflated ego.

Debate, not discussion. Very different. We could debate about it if you wish. Debate requires arguing. Arguing requires you do disagree with other people. By deconstructing your choices, they are disagreeing with you. Thus, they are debating, seriously or otherwise.

I think we're all familiar with what passes for blade's personality, and his relationship to Bradley. Taking that into consideration, I honestly think his "Not you" is a not-so-veiled insult.

No, this all started before I was up too late. I admit I honestly have no idea at this point if I ever intended there to be debate. However, what Bladejtr was not debate, it was not on topic, it was just an insult. No one ever suggested me as a mod, and anyone who would is an idiot because it goes without saying. What's probably the most infuriating about it all was that I had juggled the idea of mentioning how terrible a mod I would be, but I thought it was redundant. Shit stinks, the sun is very hot, BradRepko is bat shit crazy, these are widely accepted facts. If you bring up the idea of me as a mod in a serious debate you are either A) Crazier than me B) Don't know me C) Not being serious; or D) Insulting me.

A and B are acceptable options, but C or D actually violate the rules of fucking Sub-forum, as written by Tenboro.

You are aware that is the Serious Debate forum. The Free Speech Zone is for saying any random opinion. The Serious Debate Forum has rules.
