So, I figured, since EHCOVE likes its oldies (well, some of our members do, at least), it would be fun to TL the oldest doujin we can find.

Right now that seems to be

I cannot find anything for lower Comikets. Well, c9 and lower are not searchable due to being just two-character strings anyway.

Anyone knows any place that describes the history of those early doujin days?

I'd have figured Doujinshi.org, or search under Suruga-ya's catalog. I know they've got really some of the early Luck & Pluck books from the early 90's.

Early 90s is not that old. The C21 I linked is 1982. I wanted to see if there's some really old stuff from the 1970s, first comikets.

Of course, there must have been something even before C1, I mean, you don't make a convention out of a blue, people must have been doing stuff who knows how back. 60s? Heck, that's like when anime started... ancient times.

It seems that the very first Comikets were attended mostly by girls. Maybe this is one of the reasons, besides time, that we can't find hentai doujinshi release at them.

[www.comiket.co.jp] https://www.comiket.co.jp/archives/30th/ has the PDF files of a book done to celebrate the first 30 years of Comiket. That would be something really interesting to be translated, but I guess is nearly impossible.

It's hard to get off to this old stuff. Censorship must have been a bigger deal back then, or else there would have been much more porn.

If anyone is interested, I have uploaded several books from Comiket 1 up to about Comiket 28 or so. Many of these books can be found within the colophons of the titles - more than likely, if published on the day of or leading up to with proper research, you can find a lot of titles. Many of the groups who did participate are documented by Comiket's committee.
