don't like the fact having the mouse over the line brings up thumbnail, like the old style were you had have the mouse over the text to bring up thumbnail.

I think the issue IS the icon size. They're so big that they cause gaps to form between the text and the wall of its box.

So e-hentai and e-hentai have updated but when I'm on the e-hentai site, I can't access my settings. The link broken. I get redirected to a white page with err on it.

Another issue that is a feature I can'tdo anymore that was available before the major changes. When in a gallery either on e-hentai.org or e-hentai.org if let's sayyou are in a gallery and it's part of the manga section. You can no longer right-click on the manga (category) button above the gallery's title and open in the manga section for example in a new tab. Please bring this back.

I really like the addition of the page count filter but the results it gives can be very strange in thumbnail view.
Pages often contain very few results depending on the page ranges used.
It seems like page count is filtered after search results are compiled and then up to 5 pages are combined to form the results to be displayed. But if there are less than 25 results within the page range then only those results are displayed.
For example, searching for "english -anthology -tankoubon" with between 100 and 1000 pages will give less than 5 results on most result pages which is less than ideal for searching.

It would be great if there is some way to fix this (either by including page filtering in primary stage filtering, consolidating results from more than 5 pages, or something else since I am not really sure how the search functions).

Other than that I like or am neutral to most of the changes although I do agree with others that thumbnails are too large.

Another issue? with tags...
I have these tags set:

(bondage is neither hidden nor watched)
I would assume if a gallery has all 3 tags (3+2-1=4) it would not show up in the watched list?

But it does. There's a bunch of galleries (with other tags as well) that when adding bondage only reach the total tag number of 4, but still show up in watched.

Unwatched tags have no effect on what appears on the Watched Page, except maybe if it enough to put it below the filtered threshold.
Don't know how the filtering threshold works as I haven't messed with it.

No changes were made regarding these tags nor are any of their slave terms conflicting with each other.

I do not. I have never used the tag filter system. I have never messed with tags other than to search them.

I'm not sure if this is related to the update or not, but yesterday things were working one way, and now they're working another way, so I figured I'd bring it up here.

I've always respected that futanari and shemale were considered separate categories under the e-hentai tagging system—personally I like both, but it makes searching for whichever I'm particularly in the mood for much easier. And yet now it seems that searching for either brings up any gallery tagged with "dickgirl." And since, under the system of pairing tagging where "dickgirl" denotes both futanari and shemale, "dickgirl" seems to be applied to virtually every futanari AND shemale gallery, the situation currently seems to be that searching for either separately now brings up nearly all results for both, which seems to completely defeat the purpose of having separate tags in the first place.

I find the thumbnail view to be too massive.

Skimming over the results is so painful because the aspect ratio of the galleries are not all the standard portrait style view. The text should be at the bottom of the tile and not right under the image. This results in my eyes have to rapidly look up and down while skimming left to right. I thought the favorites were gone from the search results until I read one of the replies that stated that favorites will show up as a text box around the timestamp of the gallery.



Overall, can you guys make a smaller thumbnail view and make the text portion at the bottom of each search tile?

please re-incorporate the favorite and NEW icons—while the box border for favorites is a neat idea, it's too difficult to distinguish from non-favorited galleries; and it's incredibly short-sighted to have removed the NEW indicator.

Button colors have been improved, but the artistcg could still be a bit darker when inactive imho.

A bit confusing with the new colors specially for the option of your favorite categories, where the main page only shows text with a colored rectangle line instead of just showing the diamond+color symbol, way easier to spot your already organized stuff.

What I. still miss is the option to just show favorites with notes in your favorites section. I got many noted favorites that I forgot what I put for a note.


Main page thumbnail view looks better scaled to 90%.

All these bring back old layout and bring back old buttons.

Sad to see it's all on deaf ears, due to admin-chan getting an 8K monitor and scaling the entire site.

Based on the above 4chan's script (https://pastebin.com/pCXQ8yVh), I've made this CSS edit for anyone interested in a more subdued look while Thumbnail Mode is being worked on.

Still a bit "bright" due to the center, but way better than our current.

I mainly like the change so far! I'm sticking with minimal for browsability, but this gives the site a fresh, modern look.

There are some things I don't like with the new tag flagging though:

• In minimal mode, I can't see that a gallery is flagged for something. Before I could hover the flag mark and see what tags it had. Would be nice to have a similar flag mark return for minimal mode.
• I also used tag flagging for bad tags, but I don't want to hide any gallery. I.e. I don't like yaoi, but I don't want those galleries to be hidden when browsing recent galleries. I just want an indicator of sorts. Not like an extra screen after entering the gallery, but an easily recognizable warning. Could be combined with the previous issue by giving negative tags a different coloured flag mark than positive tags (based on the colour chosen). Alternatively it could require either an option not to hide negative weights in general, or a separate flag for each tag that says if the tag is a "bad tag", but then it might get a bit too complicated in use.
• Not tag flagging, but in compact and minimal mode, gallery names are hidden for being too long. This can be annoying as it hides language tags or volume and chapter numbers, etc.. It would be nice if long names would add extra lines to those galleries even in these modes, rather than cut overflow. Maybe just on hovering for alt text in minimal mode if you want to keep it small, but I'd personally prefer the first option.

Could the method for marking expunged galleries be something other than doing a strikethrough on the date? It hurts the legibility of it.

Those category colors are burning my eyes. Could you consider reducing the brightness to about 85%?

Holy shit that is way too damn subtle to pick out. Maybe a red line would have worked better. I still preview the new button because of the way it offset things, making it much easier to spot.

- Way too bright. It strains my eyes.
- Needs a way to properly distinguish new galleries. The whole format is so loud that simply bolding the date is basically pointless.

Functionally a good update. Visually a terrible one.
