prof gains from montage are capped at 75% of max so its pretty simple to figure out.

I actually kind of wish the cap higher though as it is now even the gains for my lowest proficiencies are so minimal that it amounts to getting a normal proficiency gain less then a handful of times.

Yeah, it would be nice if evade/resist/miss was considered before absorb (especially useful for people like Uth, who has like 38% evade, and myself, who has 36% resist (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)).

It almost looks like it ONLY procs when it would've otherwise missed us anyway... :\

Oh, yes, and speaking of proficiency gains... If I want to increase, say, my DW prof, I get a much bigger gain if I remove my armour (which is capped) before doing the Montage. But for magic, I can't "de-equip" the things that are capped. The last magic Montage I did raised my Divine prof (which was less than half of the cap value) by 0.1675. Casting Smite until I ran out of mana raised it by about twice that amount - and it didn't take 8 hours...

It seems the only time I get +0.03 Staff Proficiency is when the mob evades Whack-A-Mole time. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

I feel your pain. My three proficiency gains last time were 0.0727 and 0.1159 and 0.0458. That last one is within a couple points of the cap, I admit, but the first two are 15 and 14 points away. Why the one farthest from the cap got the middling gain is another mystery.

From my experience, if you have multiple pieces of the same armor type (say 3 pieces of light, 2 cloth), the light would go up faster if all else was equal. If you want to even it out, only have one piece of each type you want to level up, or at least equal the pieces.
