0.85 introduced a lot of annoying things, while doing couple of nice things. New bars look funky and might attract new players, while old players are forced to suffer at least until scripts are released to fix that. Looks over functionality in my opinion, which is almost always a bad choice - and let's be real, who plays HV for the looks?

I know i have to upgrade my shields block rate.
Ive been having issues with trying to do any modes past nintendo and think that maybe there's something else I've just been missing something.
I shall accept any advice from the grandmasters most humbly.

yes, fixes are possible. report the problem (preferably in 0.85 patch thread) and if it's replicable, then it will be fixed.

Can someone explain me, do monsters on lower difficulties have more health than before the patch?
I just did DwD on Hard and it took me almost 30 minutes while before the patch - max 10 min.

Edit: OK, so it is because of less difference in health thing. It's not worth doing battles on other than PFUDOR difficulties now.
