I am actually curious about the stats on my persona. Do leveling up certain stats help me reduce the amount of mana needed to cast support spells or do I need a certain boost from a weapon. Or should I focus on my more physical combat abilities such as strength, endurance, dexterity, etc.
As a side note: is a force shield better than an agile kite that gives three different boosts compared to the force shield's two. Also, which needs is more necessary to lower? Burden or Interference?
I'm a one-handed, shield-using, power armor user, if it helps.

If you're looking to reduce mana cost, here's what you can do: 1. increase proficiency (higher Supportive proficiency = lower cost for supportive spells, etc). This can reduce spell cost by up to 25%. 2. reduce interference on your gear 3. use gear with Frugal prefix Intelligence and Wisdom do NOT decrease spell costs, but Wisdom increases mana pool and mana regen. And Force Shields are generally always better than Kites. If by "boosts" you mean "stat bonuses", then Force Shields can get 3 bonuses as well, so wait until you get one of those and use that one. As a melee player, you'd actually want more burden, not less. This is so you'd tank your evade stat, but not so much that you'll lose out on crit chance. Low evade = monsters hit you more often = you can counter more often = deal more damage per turn.

Attributes do no affect spell costs. For 1h, strength, dexterity and endurance are the highest priority, wisdom and agility are useful as well. Intelligence is nothing but boost for spirit pool. Priority one on shields is the block chance. Force shield > buckler of barrier > rest. Hard to say which shield is better without seeing both, but usually the higher block chance of force shield makes it superior choice even if it lacks some attributes. Too high burden (above 70 iirc) reduces crit chance. Interference increases mana costs. Neither is a stat you should be paying too much attention to as 1h+power user.

better to say that as a 1H player, you may want to remain close to the 70 BUR threshold to have close to no Evade yet no penalties on Crit Chance.

0.85 Q
Ok, so how do you get "reloader-like" effects in the new version? I know I saw someone say you don't need reloader any more, so how do I do reloader-like attacks?
thx.

You might be confusing something here. The main purpose of reloader was to prevent the full page "reloading" after each turn, which is now taken care of by the new 0.85 update. The hover-attacks were just a part of reloader (a different sub-script called MouseMelee) and there are other similar ones like HoverPlay, etc. Now we all just have to wait until someone updates one of these hover-attack scripts. Until then, we're basically back in the dark ages (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

Going to be next to impossible to use arenas/grinds for coinage and IW gear until the 0.85 aware scripts emerge.

QUOTE(Draw99Gray @ Jun 23 2017, 17:43) It was worth it? (Almost 2M total) Force ShieldI see no issues here, Base Block should be ~37.5, which means soulfuse-worthy for sure. I'd assume roughly half of those 2m were spent on forging (DMM, catalysts, ...), resulting in about 1m for buying a high-block non-SDE shield. A reasonable amount to be sure, and credits well spent (unless your previous shield had almost identical stats).

My previous shield was this one. It's the first time i used more than 500k in an equipment, so i was a bit unsure. Which part would be next? (1H set in my signature)

(1H set in my signature) Well worth it then, every non-Barrier Buckler is a temporary piece at best for a 1H Heavy player. With your new shield your setup looks pretty solid, so unless you still have trouble surviving PF difficulty you can now focus on increasing clearspeed by maximizing your dmg output. You could try to build a full Slaughter set, preferably Legendary quality all around (expensive though). You might also keep an eye on auctions for a better weapon, but in the meantime, finish the IW on your current rapier (mostly for the extra elemental strike). If buying Legendary Power Slaughter armor is too expensive, you might wanna forge your Mag ones some (though BoS aren't exactly cheap either).

Dear Guru's of the Verse, I seek thy assistance (my first line here ever, iirc) How do I play HV? What I've figured out: 1. Click once on Fimbulvetr icon 2. Press number of monster 3. Click once on Blizzard icon 4. Press number of monster 2 5. Click once on Freeze 6. Press number of monster 3 Etc, etc. Is this the best way to play mage guys? _____ by the way QUOTE(Scremaz @ Jun 23 2017, 13:14) Aiming for the title of 'monster mod'? (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) Hell yes!

One works! Countdown timer for RE, still operational! And there's something we can do. I offer 1m for the first CracklingCast-like mage autocast + stop for rebuff script. If all players that aren't coders chip in, it will be a very good bonus!
