If you have the Death and Decay perk and your natural base proficiency is maxed you're a little over 1.0.

NB1: to decide such value, one may decide one out of the blue, or pick the value that allows to even out all boosts in the build. Another way is specified in point 8

1.0 prof factor should means twice your level, so you're just need a bit more.

be advised, there's lots of trash peerless too in case you're thinking about grind for peerless using shrines.

Is there any merit to using light armor with 1h? I've just kinda been using it this whole time by default but I'm wondering if it would be better if I switched to heavy+1h.

heavy+1h is better because evades are bad with 1h. less stuns and such.

at your level you will have another safety layer (evade), more resist and you'll be able to recycle the armors you used until this point (if you did), so you'll be able to spare a bit of credits.

it'll only be a temporary measure though, when you'll be tanky enough you should soon move to power armors to boost your damage

If you go to Bazaar > Item Shop Bot and just select the item you want to know its value from the list. I think that tells the right price.

and it's not like we're speaking about "imperil isn't resisted", rather "imperil being resisted less"
