Right now my current build is heavy armor+shield+1h w/e with decent parry and attack. I'm looking into soul fusing an weapon to use long term now. I know rapier is all the fad with -def, does it make that much of a difference in dmg though? I want to pickup a legendary weapon at the free shop to soulfuse with, but the great rapiers are rare, so what would be my 2nd or other good alternatives on what type of 1h weapon to soulfuse with? My goal is to do 25x, but i just cant afford it atm with my income so i usually do 15x.
I do have some money saved up, what should i be using that on? orbital cannon, weapons, or more def(at 62% mitigation atm)
Just going to share my own experience on the long term weapon subject.
I used to think that rapiers had much lower damage compared to axes before, as axes pretty much have double the attack from a rapier, and even with penetrated armor, the damage from the axe would still be higher, so there was no way rapiers could be better than axes just because they have parry.
That was a misconception though, because penetrated armor doesn't only work with your weapon's damage, but your whole attack.
Let's say you have 4000 attack with a rapier and 5000 with an axe.
With a single stack of penetrated armor, you already deal 25% more damage, so it already gets to the level of the axe, and with 3 stacks, you are dealing 7000 damage, so this is the reason rapiers are prefered for higher difficulties, where enemies take more hits to die, and penetrated armor has more chances to proc, being a decent weapon for lower difficulties and the best choice for higher difficulties.
You can use other one handed weapons for more damage in lower difficulties if you can kill enemies in 1~2 hits, as penetrated armor won't have much chance of proccing, but it's better to get a rapier in case you are going to spend money on forging and plan on playing on higher difficulties, as it's a weapon you are probably going to use for a long time for any situation, instead of something only viable for difficulties lower than Hell.
----------------
The cannon might be your best option, as it's something you need to buy only once, instead of armors or weapons, which you'll probably end up changing frequently until you find an end game one.
It can also help you clear Random Encounters much easily, so it can help you in your goal to clear PFUDOR REs, but bear in mind it doesn't do much in normal fights if all you do is hover over enemies using a script.
If you don't though(which is not advised), or just play fully focusing on HentaiVerse, it's quite good on clearing whole rounds whenever your overcharge gets above 210% and you have Spirit Stance on.
+EditYou might also consider investing in some
Hath Perks if you haven't yet, like Postage Paid and Innate Arcana I and II.
Those are the one's mostly advised to get, where you can then think about getting IA III, or even Vigorous Vitality for 10% more health.

is it just me? does hentaiverse run faster with chrome rather than firefox?
Might be just you, as it depends on a lot of things.
If you use more add-ons on firefox, or haven't cleared the cache in a long time, or maybe it's a faulty installation, it can lead to a browser being slower than the other for certain things.
Personally, I never had good experiences with firefox, always finding chrome much better, but it already gets in the realm of discussion of stuff like Xbox vs PS, Microsoft vs Apple and such.
In any case, try checking if alt.hentaiverse.org also runs slowly on firefox and not on chrome, and try doing some troubleshooting if it does and you want to play HV on firefox.
