QUOTE(Scremaz @ Mar 20 2017, 17:17) like giving me a cooking book may affect the chances of me eating more or less at a restaurant?
(IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) maybe slightly less chance

yeah, has it ever been confirmed? I used to give karma to snowflake in the hopes of more legendaries and I had the impression it worked, but on the other hand I was heavy grinding those days (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/heh.gif) What was the saying? "That's the thing about randomness, you never know"? Now my karma giving to snowflake have been reduced to 15% I think

yep. but it's not a saying, it's the true truth. let's pick a sequence of 6 numbers. given the fact that each of them is picked at random, you could obtain, uh... 845291, 654321 or 111111. but not only. each of these combos has exactly the same chance to happen. of course, chance for one of those NOT to happen is a tad bit bigger, so if you wait for a specific one you'll be quite disappointed. apply this to the mechanic of this game: we want to go holy mage and need either a LHOH or (don't ask me why, it's just an absurd) a Legendary Tempestuous Oak Staff of the Earth-walker staff because we like long, fancy names. or that particular combo, god only knows why. supposing that every prefix/suffix has the same chance to appear (*), then we have exactly the same chance of dropping that LHOH or that LTOEw. if you note, how many - just saying - LTOEw did you drop until now? but our opinion is biased and we tend to think only in terms of LHOH vs. non-LHOH, or (more frequently) 99%LHOH~PHOH vs. crap. something like the best 0.0001% of the best 0.0001% available. albeit different from zero, it's that low of a number that pretty much everything (even the curves on your plug cord) may affect it (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) (*) which is not entirely true, but let's forget about it for a while. all of this fails a bit when we speak about machine-generated RNG, since it has been proven that there's a bit of logic in each of those algorithms. but it's something that trascends both Tenboro's and Snowflake's abilities. Spoiler text - Highlight to read... This post has been edited by Scremaz: Mar 20 2017, 19:16

(and it never goes up again since i'm changed into mage) you can find more on my signature. my equipment definitely aren't good. just normal stuff, armor was 50k each on auction, Mace was 150k. the real issue is money (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/cry.gif) This post has been edited by yukikiss: Mar 20 2017, 21:34

Ok I feel like I'm missing something really obvious but I can't for the life of me get scripts to function. The wiki page says I need to use a custom font engine. Is there a particular one? I tried just sticking Arial and 10 point size but that doesn't seem to do it. I have Hoverplay Hoverplay and HV Equip Comparison installed. I dragged the JS files onto tampermonkey and it recognizes both scripts. Yet neither seem to be taking effect. Is there some enable-all-scripts script that I need to install first? Do I need to reboot my dang computer? Any help is appreciated. e: wait I see I was using 1.5 of hoverplay while 1.8 is the newest. Also, I didn't save them to disk with tampermonkey, just regular save. This post has been edited by dontmesswithduke: Mar 20 2017, 23:44

well i've been monkeying with it for more than an hour. Chrome Browser, Tampermonkey extension. Tried running it alone, tried every possible WHERE parameter, tried installing the script directly in the extension page, tried adding hentaiverse.org to adblock whitelist, nothing seems to work. Seems to be working for other people so I must be missing something incredibly obvious (and incredibly infuriating)
Gotta admit, kind of want to break something after all that.
annnndddd after all that I found out tampermonkey didn't have access to file urls and was possibly even straightup disabled?!??!
well that was silly

OK... If I hit the +quote on a post, and then go to another thread, will that +quote follow me? IE - will it quote it on another thread? I ask not because I want to do it, I ask so I don't screw up and accidentally do it. Right now when I come down with alcohol induced ADHD, I go back through and unclick them. That way I don't........ Oh Look!!! A heads up penny!! (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif) I don't drift off and find myself on another thread, never answering scat, and having all those........ OK... What was I?..... The penny!!

Are there any scripts that send a notification when a new random encounter is available? I'm not getting the full 60 soul fragments a day as keeping track of when I last did it is to much work.
Nevermind found one.
Are there any more in depth guides to potencies ? than the wiki? Like what the chance of getting a specific one is and other stuff?
