Divine vs dark, which is better?

Frankly, no one really knows nor understands. We should seriously get a real explanation regarding all this.
Even the wiki contradicts itself in both of these pages:

Divine= higher dps

Dark= less damage taken

Pick your poison.

Faster clear speed means divine, less cure is dark. Everyone either picks divine or elemental, haven't quite heard of a dark mage before.

Wasn't that info sourced from players who added it to the wiki? We don't get the insider information from the developers (Tenboro) do we(like the equipment ranges, for example)?

Holy also costs a whole lot more.

If you're OK using Imperil, I think Dark is better if you aren't incredibly rich, since it's much cheaper and nearly as effective.

Without Imperil, Holy starts performing notably better I think, due to proc, though at the cost of being more costly.

If someone is fine with using Imperil might as well play elemental which is even cheaper.

The only info we get from 10B come from the release notes. But as gianfrix told me, sometimes there are minor things being altered that don't appear in there.

So yes, the wiki is built by the players, but frankly this domain would need further research and a whole community-driven work to get more accurate data and build a model that is more reliable. Like, we need to get a huge list of what's been dropped in all difficulty levels to get something more accurate.

Ah, yeah. After all, most people only care about the PFUDOR drop rates, and it's pretty clear where that setting works the best. Otherwise, the additional arena clear is a bonus to the exp you get already.

Edit: So just forget all about loot rolls and the like and stick to the simple rule, normal setting drop bad, higher setting drop good.

well, many datas are provided by high-level users, so that cannot be helped. afterall, even low-levels can clear a PF ROB without that much to worry about.

another option is to start building a series of datas at that level, but to be reliable it will definitely require more time than what's needed to level up till the level those on wiki become reliable, for how perverted it may seem (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/heh.gif)

I attached an image of my statistics, any advice to eliminate imperil and play in PFUDOR will be grateful

While we are on the holy mage subject I'd like some help getting my holy mage setup since I'm such a noob about it and I don't know which of the followings should I equip
Between my best staffs for it I have:
Legendary Arctic Katalox Staff of Destruction
Magnificent Oak Staff of Heimdall
Exquisite Hallowed Oak Staff of Heimdall
Cap:
Legendary Cobalt Cotton Cap of the Heaven-sent
Legendary Jade Cotton Cap of the Heaven-sent
Magnificent Charged Cotton Cap of the Heaven-sent
The only robe I have is this:
Legendary Cobalt Phase Robe of Heimdall
Gloves:
Magnificent Charged Cotton Gloves of The Heaven-sent
Magnificent Zircon Phase Gloves of Heimdall
Legs:
Legendary Ruby Cotton Pants of the Heaven-sent
Magnificent Jade Phase Pants of Heimdall
Shoes:

I'm not a mage myself, DW main here, but I can tell you that all mages use scripts for fast clear. I'm not too sure on the other specifics, but it's something like better gear and better stuff I guess.

Since divine is the best, it seems that I'm on the right track.

i'd go with the matching Oak, unsure about Cap, Heimdall Gloves, Charged Shoes and... hmm... Heimdall Pants?

Most of my Holy Mage equips are already soulfused, but if you'd like some of these just let me know:

Cotton Cap
Phase Gloves
Katalox Staff

Personally I feel Charged prefix is quite powerful when transitioning to mage, as it helps reduce incoming damage which is your main issue (especially if you played 1H before and never had to worry about it).

Yes, if you have the funds, don't play without Charged at first, it'll make things so much easier

Prof > EDB until your prof is near maxed for what you need

1 you can also open a new persona and keep the current one for melee. just saying

3 you can have CR only on Staff. either with Oak slot or with Penetrator IW potency, but best if paired for high difficulties.

I was thinking more of a loan than a gift^^ Use them for now, once you buy/drop something better you return them. I understand this may take a while, but I'm using better pieces already so don't worry about it.
