Alright, first of all, EHWiki is your friend for everything ever. The Advice page especially is important. Here's a link: https://ehwiki.org/wiki/advice . Are you on too high a difficulty? I spent most of my level 100s hovering around Hard and Nightmare with average gear and it was ok. You should, once again, check out EHWiki for the different settings: https://ehwiki.org/wiki/settings . Take note of the massive jumps in damage and health and avoid those. You're 148, so Hell might be your limit if you went full melee with onehanded. However, as I main DW, or dual wielding, you might want to try it out as well, seeing as it relies more on evasion rather than tanking. The stats you should add are on the Advice page above. Dual wield is better mainly for the cheap startup cost (leather eq+average rapier of slaughter(or anything with a significant Attack Damage) + wakizashi with high parry, waki in off hand rapier in main), and while one handed can be started with plate armor, it only gets better if you have power armor. Try dual wielding first, if you have any other problems, come back here and ask. TL;DR: Go DW (because it's cheap) after buying full leather and a rapier + waki with highest parry you can find that meets your level requirement, read the Wiki, use lower difficulty settings, but never below Hard, because you can still get shards at a low level, which are impossible to get in normal. I would say use draughts and potions, but I know at that level it takes a while to get any significant amount of both restoratives, so it's better not to rely on them. If you still have trouble in Hard, which you shouldn't, go to normal and stay there till you have enough proficiency with the weapon. Remember to slot your abilities, I didn't know you had to slot them till around 150 (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

I didn't slot a single one of my abilities, because I thought all I needed to do was to upgrade them. It was only when I realised that the boxes at the top of the screen were there for a reason did I actually click on each icon, then proceed to facepalm for days. I could have gotten to 150 way faster if I just slotted the abilities lol.

It can happen to the best of us. I played for weeks struggling as mage at lv 400 and then discovered that I hadn't slotted Better Imperil. And I played imperil style (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) But yeah, a small explenation text would help on that HV screen. It isn't self-explanatory at all.

Afaik it should be staff, cloth being a close second. Best option is still selling them (4+M are enough to get a very good equip).

Truly? Seemed like there is more chance to get decent Cloth than Staffs to me, but seems like i was wrong (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

I don't remember where it was discussed though. Still, selling is a much better choice (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/heh.gif)

You'd need to waste tons of noodles to get only one decent equip that you don't really chose, while all you need is to sell a few of them to purchase what you really want.

Low aim: cloth is safer, but you'll get a lot of junk High aim: staff is more likely to profit, but you have even more bad combinations (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

Arena and Ring of Blood clear bonus Equal to a T1 trophy on Endgame challenge and below. Becomes T2+ with any higher challenge on Nightmare difficulty or higher. Longest Journey and above get +1 tier at Nightmare and above, and the three highest arenas get an additional +1 tier at IWBTH/PFUDOR. Dances with Dragons on PFUDOR is T8.
Sources Tier Minimum quality Quality point for Arena clear drops: Endgame challenge and below on Normal/Hard difficulty 1 Average
About the underlined statement, does this mean that for all arena Endgame and below, the highest tier drop is 1? That even if you clear the arena on nightmare or higher, the tier will still be 1?

No, I think you misunderstand. It's just saying if you clear on normal its tier 1. All the above still applies (the difficulty quality roll bonus on the wiki settings page). At least, that's how I see it?
Edit: Actually, no, I'm talking out my ass, have no idea what it means. Sorry :/
