QUOTE(gianfrix94 @ Feb 7 2017, 07:08) I have a Humanoid monster with PL around 210, and i'm considering deleting him. Do humanoid monsters ever get decent? Or should i just kill him off?
What happens when you delete a monster, do you get anything back, similar to salvaging an upgraded equipment? My one Humanoid monster: PL633, Battles Won: 110, Killing Blow: 8

No, you only get the empty slot back

Hardly worth doing it then, not that I'd contemplate doing so.

I wanted to try maging lately so I had some questions about it, first of all, is it recommendable at my current level, I just mostly play on Hard the 2nd page of the arenas 1H style, so would maging on Hard be better or worse? Second, how should I distribute my exp? I know I should decrease STR which I've doing these days Third, which mage should I go for? Given my selfdrop equipment I was aiming for holy mage, but is that practical?

Your level is high enough that Hard difficulty shouldn't be much of a challenge, even with weak gears, and it'll be a whole lot faster than 1h. Keep Dex somewhat high (but lower than the other useful ones), it's necessary for parry I don't think Holy mage would be bad since you want to play so low a difficulty - long cast time probably won't be a problem, probably, and you don't want to use Imperil either. Be prepared to forge a lot (or use many prof slots) to max out your prof, though.

Sure, as long as Dex isn't way low, it's fine. Due to the exponential distribution of PAB XP, it doesn't matter much.

QUOTE(edu5ardo @ Feb 7 2017, 23:41) What are the individual advantages of elemental and divine? What element is better?
Divine does more damage and there's less resisting monsters. All elements are equal, but some elements are more equal than others. Elements are relatively cheaper. A bit. I have paid truckloads of credits for my staff and my two prime cloths. Ridiculous amounts. But not 200m like a peerless radiant phase of heimdall would cost.

Got a little question for experts. Has HV a single static IP address? Or does it change regularly? I'm asking because I'm looking for two things: 1) I'd like to avoid sending DNS resolution requests over the network for HV, in particular when I'm not at home 2) To speed up a tiny bit my connectivity
Right now, I've added the current IPv6 of HV to my hosts file (frankly, I'm lucky to get an IPv6 in response to my ping requests), and I'd like to know if I'll have to update it all the time or not.

I don't remember ever seeing HV IP changing (btw there are two IPs, the normal one and the all), but it doesn't mean it will not change in the future. Btw: 1) What is the point? You're fine sending packets to a IP that can be traced back to HV but not doing DNS resolution requests (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif) Unless they are sniffing all the packets to inspect the contents I don't see that being a problem at all. 2) DNS requests are cached based on their TTL, you're not speeding up anything at all putting it in the hosts file, unless the TTL of hentaiverse.org is ridiculously small.

A company i worked at did their "what do our employees browse" statistics through their DNS logs or sth on the DNS server ... wouldn't have wanted HV to show up in those statistics (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/heh.gif) But, as we got annoyed by all the calls we got from physical IT, we just tunneled out ... pretty sure we weren't supposed to do that, but still beat being called twice a day about what we were doing on "hacker" and p*rn sites when following links on google ...

Yeah, outgoing DNS was blocked, so only the internal one could be used ... tbh my theory always was, that they had to justify their budget ... The whole thing was a weird system anyway ... you navigated to a site, they did a traffic analysis on the http contents, ran it through some keyword stuff (doh!) and when they hit something they blocked the host in DNS ... which was great when you had to look up something on stack overflow, a forum or pretty much anything with user generated content or weird ads (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) If you really really want to HV at work, i found it best to run the traffic through an ssh tunnel, if you can ssh to the outside world. Back on topic i think now ... With the massing of mage switching i think might be going on right now (i think there are more mage questions over all now than a while ago) i dug up a post i wrote a while ago on that topic https://forums.e-hentai.org/index.php?showt...p;#entry4358173

Just some questions before I start reading the entire thread again back to around one year and a half since I last looked here.
1. In the most basic situation, supposing I have one rapier with 1000 damage and one axe with 2000 damage, would the axe give me the best raw damage against every monster, as I don't have to wait for penetrated armor to proc, or does penetrate armor do something else I forgot?
1.a. In a not so basic situation, would it be better using and axe, or even other one handed weapon other than a rapier, considering parry, accuracy, the equipment potentials and whatever else?
2. I've been considering getting my OFC, but how does it actually work in battle? I know the basics of void damage, 10 targets and 50 turns cooldown, but pratically, is it able to oblitarate all mosters in a single turn on hell difficulty for example? Does it actually help on PFUDOR at all or does it only scratch monsters?
3. I played a bit of mage with a poor bazaar set on low difficulties and I know how much it speeds things up, but to play in higher settings(at least hell), is there anything I can do other than investing tons of money to upgrade a good equipment?
4. Currently, what is the fastest playstyle, supposing infinite money, best equip and a mountain of any battle items to freely use?
4.a. What is the most cost effective one, depending on all of these, when considering a realistic normal casual player(someone that plays all arenas daily at least)?

Just get a rapier and force shield. Rapier has parry and PA and permanently spirit stance. It's the only way to go cheap and fast. Holy mage is faster but few players are that rich. Without funds there is no mage. Get the OFC. Try it. It doesn't suck.
