Just tried one, 4:30 for an 86 round IWBTH IW. I can't handle PF except if there are no more than ~60 rounds.

Neat forging you got here. Alot of phazons used. Is imperil the only debuff you use? No weaken at all?

So I just started this game and I'm kind of interested in the monster lab portion. Is the only way to get the crystals is through killing stuff and the item shop? When can my monster start doing stuff? The wiki says power level 25 and ingame it says power level 100.


Also I started off with a staff and did some magic stuffs and got tons of int, but now I found that i enjoy sword and shield a bit more. I notice that i can occasionally take points out of my stats to redistribute it, what triggers that?

Yep, Imperil only (PF: Imp Imp Imp T3 T2 T1 +cures done), and on Hellfest, not even Imperil.

Best place to earn crystals is to be a level 400+ mage with all crystal perks playing GF, but you'll earn a tiny amount of crystals (more than you'll need for low PL monsters) playing normally.

But that said, additional crystals aren't worth it even then because it takes literally years for monsters to pay off past PL 200 or so. It's not worth it. Best to stick with PL 25 or so.

The ingame text is wrong, it's still 25.

Should I stick to being a mage? I kind of want to go with what is more interesting, but I'm reading and seeing different recommendations on how to start off. Haven't picked up a 2 handed weapon yet so I'm kind of wanting to give that a try next.

You can name the monster at PL25, no reason to go over it (unless you want lower morale drain).
