Hello, I've another couple of simple question.

When I played a few years ago, I think ethereal maces were considered one of the strongest weapons. I just saw some recent comments, however, saying that 2h is not viable anymore at higher levels cause they aren't tanky enough. So should I switch over to 1h..? I already have 120 proficiency in 2h (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/cry.gif)

And overall, what should be the first 1h/2h weapon I soulbind if I'm using light armor and have a budget of 300k? I've already a superior ethereal mace of slaughter (which someone else set at lvl 65) from the FreeShop, but I'd rather give it back if I could afford to soulbind a better weapon.

Until level 150 or so, 2h is fine - it's probably the best style, actually. It has great clear speed but low defense, but at lower levels monsters are so pathetic that much defense isn't necessary, so might as well use a style purely focused on killing quickly.

Problem is, past ~150, monster PL begins to skyrocket, and 1h is pretty much essential for a player who wants to continue being able to play on high difficulty like Nintendo without running into serious problems.

Your first priority for soulfusing is a prefixed Rapier of Slaughter/Nimble - hopefully, Exquisite+ with Dex, something worth IWing to 10 and forging to 5, so you can use it for another hundred levels or so, or until you get the funds to replace it. ADB has very high level scaling, so weapon slot is the most important slot to have gear that matches your level.

Other than rapier, you'll probably be best off just saving your fragments for a long time - you're not likely to find equipment worthy of spending rare fragments on without a higher level and a decent amount of funds (Power Slaughter, Power Protection - after you switch to Heavy from Light).

If you're using something whose level is more than 15% below yours, best to toss it and buy a random Average from the bazaar, it'll have better stats.

every stat in every item has a specific range of variability due to its quality prefix: for example, you expect an Exquisite (which quality is higher than Average) to outclass a similar Average in all its stats - and so it is, since 0.82 patch. usually E values are comprised between S (Superior) and M (Magnificent) values.

with this being said, the maximum amount reachable by a stat in an Exq is called Emax, while the min is called Emin (provided someone even cares about this). Peerless values are simply the max of L class, given that since 0.82 a Peerless is simply a "perfect Legendary" - therefore P values are the top of the top.

Since it might be outdated, i usually compare the stats in actual value using the 'T' function (shows base unforged value) with wiki equipment stat range or items in the WTS. There's some types of equipment that u almost wouldn't use 'W' to compare; one of which is power slaughter.

But now you need to know the new pmax value to work with it.

The good thing is that you don't need STR at all and barely need DEX.
A END+AGI+whatever buckler of barrier is cheaper than a perfect PAB one.
For example, this is perfect if you have the money to spend (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)
Couple if with a good legendary wiki of the battlecaster and you have a sick combo (>60% block >50% parry + good evade and resist).

DEX is always needed for Parry, Crit and ACC. it's a very versatile stat that personally i value way more than STR. some high-tier mages used to keep an old-style Phase/Gossamer/Cotton just because of DEX PAB, you know.
however i was speaking about Ethereal prefix on rapier. a matching prefixed one will be much better for this build

this is called 'reselling' and it's what the real money come from. though uf you ask me it should be done only to pluck big chickens and it's a bit deprecable to do it against youngsters - in which case it should be called robbing.

no clue about the script, it was somehow broken even before that patch. usually i compare base stats and eventually interpolate them to scale to my level, they always say the truth. afterall, what you need isn't top-level gear, but only an improvement of your current gear, isn't it? I currently play 1H Heavy and I have saved up about 5kk credits, but I'm not sure how to best spend them.
Should I just buy materials to forge what I have or get better equipment? I thought about saving up for gold star, but that would take forever.
Or should I just keep waiting until lvl 350 and switch to mage? I already found a few leg phase drops and also this Staff.
Also, I already have IA I and II.

best way to train your depre , just go to crude IWBTH IW than spam it with focus/battlecaster weapon (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

He doesn't need to go for IWBTH if all he's casting is weaken ._. i think it'l be fine if he does it on normal.
