I am new to HV and would like to ask for help/advice. After checking the "HVadvice" wiki I decided to go with 1h + shield and heavy armor.

How should I spread my attribute points correctly as of now? Did I mess up?

That reminds me, many of those advice pages still need to be fixed, many are mostly wrong...

Intel is 99% useless for melee, and Agi is 90% useless for heavy armor users, so you can drop those stats down if you want. You can keep everything else equal, it's easy to remember.

While plate armor is probably OK for now, you may run into mana issues later once all your buffs are available. Though heavy armor is preferable past ~250 due to Power, before that, Light is probably easier on your mana potions (and incoming damage from magic attacks).

As you're leveling up quickly, it's good to frequently change out your gear for Averages bound closer to your level if you haven't found anything better, since equipment deteriorates very very quickly before level ~200.

Is my staff worth updating? I have 4 million credits and wonder if it's a good idea to spend them all in buying binding of destruction plus high grade wood to update magical damage. Is the staff going to become much better or not?

Like I said they're not 100% useless - just keep them significantly lower than your other stats. Eg if Str=Dex=End=Wis=100,000, Agi could be 10,000 and Int could be 1000.

You can use any fighting style you want, it doesn't matter all that much before 150ish, though 2h probably has the best clear speed. (Then starting sometime around 150, monster PL starts increasing drastically, and you need 1h's defense to stay alive on high difficulty)

I have decided to give up, I deleted my script attachment and just took back the PMs I had sent to him over the past month that were all ignored. While he's an asshole that no one else should deal with, the value in question is tiny and it's a slightly odd situation not directly dealing with HV goods. Now that it's known that he tries to scam and ignore people (even if in this case it was for a small amount), that's enough for me, I'm not going to do anything.

The holy staff is marginally usable, there's a tiny chance you'd find someone at a lower level willing to put up with a useless prefix, but I wouldn't count on it, probably not worth a space in your inventory.

With only 4-5% difference in dmg for elec and wind if using maxed out proficiency, I wonder if it would end up faster without imperil. I suppose it depends on how much dmg is lost to max it out.
