QUOTE(Ichy @ Aug 8 2011, 18:14) The trick is to hit them hard enough to kill most of them in one or 2 blows and then leech mana from the Survivor. Preferable a Elemental or another weak ass monster. Heh, I can't oneshot (or twoshot, for that matter) anyone on Nightmare and higher, not even by using Tier 3 elemental spells. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/cry.gif) I suppose I need to raise my INT. I've been keeping STR/DEX/AGI around my level and the rest about ~20 levels higher, but I guess that's not enough. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) Or maybe I should just upgrade my equipment, but then again, I'm a massive cheapskate.— Edit: just put 8 points into INT, enemies are now dying like flies. I wish putting 8 points into STR for me could profit me with the same outcome... Mages these days...

keep int down, you don't need it to go down to zero, but all the exp you have in int should be max one present level of your important stats. int only affects one for melee important thing and that is spirit points and spirit regen (spirit shield). however, it's only one of six stats that counts equally towards your spirit points and regeneration, so just forget about. "Spirit Points = (1 + POWER / 7 + (STR + DEX + AGI + END + INT + WIS) / 10) * SP Tank Modifier Spirit Regen = 0.1 + (STR + DEX + AGI + END + INT + WIS) / 600 per minute" wis is of course important for magic points and regen, it also enhances barrier rating how do you distribute the exp among your important stats is your decision, most melee seem to agree on a uneven allocation like unimportatant stats 1/3 of important stats, others lag the unimportant stats just like 10 or max 15 points back etc. just keep it even if you can't decide.

I am currently at these stats: STR 186+14+3 DEX 190+38+2 AGI 190+37+7 END 175+6+3 INT 150+3+4 WIS 175+6+2 I wonder if I should rebalance them anyhow...

How much MP do you get back by doing this, though? I only get back, maybe an average of 13 MP per turn and I find that it isn't enough to overcompensate for the things I lose while leeching. I mean, I'll take damage while leeching so the returned MP goes right into a Cure or Regen (especially since the survivor has a good chance of being agitated), or the MP will go into Supportive buffs because they'll run out faster since I'm sitting there defending for three turns. In the end I still find that I can go only as far as the potions I have take me, which is pretty much my main obstacle right now.

try to get everything to 190 and then keep it even until a better advice is at hand. you can lag INT back 100, this way all the exp you got in INT is always only worth one level of the important stats. this way you get some cheap MP you can INT also lag always 50 behind, this way all the exp you have in INT does cost only 5 ups (one per stat) of your important stats.

I use a 3turn/32%+ ET staff and usually proc ET on elementals. Elementals/celestials/high int/wis monsters like Eila/Neptuna usually net be 25+mana per ET. Regen2/SV usually makes me take minimal damage from them. Most celestials/elementals etc don't do much damage to me unless they're agitated/use their spirit attack. If I proc ET on giants, I get about 19-21 mana (depends on their int/wis) If they're super tanky you can actually weaken/blind and then farm up lots of mana (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/happy.gif) (although your buff turns might run out) ET on agitated guys is up to whether you want to risk the high damage. I personally just ET the guys with higher life - yay for missing one or two out of big crowds (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

I don't ET, prefer speed-clearing. End up chugging a godly MP pot every ~10-15 rounds in arena (nintendo). When item levelling (IW hard, ~250 rounds per item) I use ~5 godly MPs per run, varies a lot depending on gems and such. I burn heal tokens before starting to max my mana buffer for gem drops. Used to be able to ignore my mana bar when starting, but now uses up too many potions.

Haha yeah I usually just pot it up if I'm feeling lazy. If I start ETing it takes me much much longer so I don't bother unless I'm feeling super cheap

I've been playing for weeks, but still not quite understand what power is in "+ 7% EXP / Power" in the aura bonuses and where I can see it

It makes the gold power bar bigger (to the left, under your name in your post).

QUOTE(Devilmetal @ Aug 9 2011, 23:59) Have you completed the arena "endgame" to obtain the title "ascended"? If you did, you need to adjust this in settings.

sorry for bad english
have a strange question
i notice Character page the sidebar
it's was second "Primary Attributes" in there , composite Character + Equipment + Extra.
my question is the Calculations depend on Character's stats only ? or all composite stats ?
example:
INT: Every 10 points raises your Magic Accuracy by 0.5%
the Character's stats was 150 int
but the composite stats was 199 int (150 +40 +9)
in this situation do i need to rise 1 INT to reach 200 ?

150 (your standart stats) + 40 (equipment bonus) + 9 (bonus from the shrine offerings) Yes, if you rise INT on 1 point, it'll become 200 This post has been edited by Evil Scorpio: Aug 9 2011, 18:55

Theoretically it's not the case, since INT affects your magical accuracy in a rather continuous way Every point you put into INT/WIS will give a 0.05% bonus theoretically That is, you don't need to have exactly 10 points to enjoy that 0.5% bonus Maybe that 0.05% change is so small that magical hit chance doesn't increase by more than 0.1%. that's why you can't see any improvement

so it's just too small (0.05%) difference that doesn't show up in "MA"
thanks a lot
