@crosss i think this is what your'e looking for http://hentaiverse.org/pages/monsterlist.php
current bestiary lists that exist on wiki are these:
http://ehwiki.org/wiki/Bestiary
http://ehwiki.org/wiki/MonsterLab_Bestiary <- you won't have to worry about these for a while
http://ehwiki.org/wiki/Legacy_Bestiary <- if you're still on the legacy system

Oh well, just bid a higher price, I am sure you can afford it.

Besides, I have been looking for a breastplate for a long time

Strange, this is. I just put 25 points into my int (from 125 to 150) but my interference stat did not change. Did I miss something?

Yes:

You still want MP points, and mana MP affects the mana restorative items, but yeah INT isn't the most important attribute for melee.

Grindfest seems to be the top-exp/stamina farming place, assuming the Great status. Up to 150k exp per 4-5 enemy round on IWBTH, while Exquisite IW only yields up to 90-100k. Meh~

What armor is more preferable against IPU and FSM, light or cloth? With holy/dark damage type mitigations certainly.

I did not really care about that but I guess it would obviously be niiiice to gear up in Dragon-hide set of Thrice-blessed (for IPU, that is. I am not sure about the dark-resistance suffix, maybe it was "of the Spirit-ward"?)

yes, it's spirit-ward for dark resitance.

don't concentrate so much on high or special equip, just keep leveling and look after the right combination of stuff.
training, stats, hath perks, cheap but good equip etc.
The only Equip I ever remember to paid more than 4k is the breastplate in my signature

I started reading this thread from the beginning, and quickly realized that the info was way out of date.
How much of the info in the ehwiki is similarly out of date?

But to go on with my own problems and questions.
Magics seems a little too advanced to get into, so melee it is.
How hard is it to switch styles and armor? To make up for having used one kind of weapon style and one kind of armor for 25 levels or so, and then start with something new?
Or for that matter, start going magics when having 0.00 in magic proficiencies (not counting curative and deprecating)?

And how good are the different armor and weapon styles?
I was going heavy armor, but the general opinion early in the thread was that the burden on heavy armor makes it near useless when the enemies starts multiplying.
And then they recommended mixing, which doesn't really match with the ehwiki info, since you only get the armor proficiency bonus if you wear only armor from a certain class.

So for a melee warrior, is heavy armor bad? Or has the burden problem been fixed with the newer patches, so that it isn't too penalizing?
Or is light armor superior, not only being faster due to less burden, but also having resist and evasion to make up for the lack of mitigation somewhat?

And how does absorbtion and mitigation work? Does absorbtion first remove a set amount of damage, and then mitigation removes a percentage of what is left? Or does mitigation first reduce the total amount, and then absorbtion then a set amount of what is left (in effect, does absorption actually become better with high mitigation)?
And does shield (the spell) become much more powerful with heavy armor, due to higher base values to work with, or does it add a set amount, no matter your equipment?
Or is high shield spell that little extra that makes heavy armor good?

And then, to continue with my little game of 20 questions, weapon styles.
Which is best really?
Dual wield and rely on parry for defense, and hope for better damage with damage/accuracy increases from two weapons, and the occasional off-hand strike?
Or go with sword and board, with shield block providing defense and the counter-attack giving the damage increase?

Or to actually go wild and go with a two-handed weapon, hope to take them all down quick, and use a mace and hope that domino strikes keeps proccing stuns all over the place?

A lot of it is out of date but it's still very useful. I would recommend looking it up on the wiki (if you're concerned about something)

And then verifying the point in the "release note" forum and/or possibly this thread/HV questions thread via a search

How hard is it to switch styles and armor?

Pretty darn easy if you don't plan on playing very high difficulties. Proficiency also increases *much faster* if it's low (ie if it's at 0, it'll grow in no time)

Or for that matter, start going magics when having 0.00 in magic proficiencies (not counting curative and deprecating)?
Proficiency gear helps with that (ie elementalist)

And how good are the different armor and weapon styles?
1h/shield <- safest. sturdiest. slowest.
1h/1h <- best for taking out single targets ie bosses. a little protection from parry (very flexible since there's a lot of variety with the 1h/1h choices)
2h <- best for big hordes. least protection out of the three
magic <- convenient. guzzles a lot of potions unless you bother using Ether Theft lots.

I saw a lot of mixing prior to the recent patches. Now most people go full suits. Since you don't have a lot of armor proficiency, IMO it won't really matter whether you mix or not. At early levels, most players go heavy armor though for that huge protection bonuses.

So for a melee warrior, is heavy armor bad? Or has the burden problem been fixed with the newer patches, so that it isn't too penalizing?
I believe it's gotten better. It all depends on preference really. No worries though, HV is pretty good in flexibility - as in you can change up your set up pretty easily/conveniently given you have the gear available.

IIRC, it's absorption first, then mitigation. http://ehwiki.org/wiki/Damage_Absorption_%26_Mitigation
Shield will give you 25% bonus to all your physical stats. ie if you have 50 phys absorb and 40% physical mitigation from gear, shield will give you 12.5 bonus absorb and 10% physical mitigation

So ex: 1000 damage comes at you with the above stats.
1000 - 50 absorb - 12.5 = 937.5
937.5 * (1-0.40) * (1-0.10) = attack does ~500 damage

ofc if you have heavy armor you probably have resistance to crushing type/piercing type/slashing type etc so there should be even more damage reduc
So yes, shield will make heavy armor better.

Which is best really?
It's based on preference but I more or less answered that above. What you want out of the game determines what style is "best"

In Soviet Russia, YOU rape the tentacle monster?
yes

What's the best way to clear higher level arenas (Sealed Power and beyond)? (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif)
The Mjolnir/Surtr Phase set I've been using works quite nicely at Normal and Hard difficulty, but I'm having trouble with anything beyond that (mostly because I run out of mana/mana pots and I can't waste time trying to proc ET since the mobs hit retardedly hard).
Heroic I can still (somewhat) deal with, but anything else is just out of the question.
Should I switch to a Heimdall set?

The trick is to hit them hard enough to kill most of them in one or 2 blows and then leech mana from the Survivor.
Preferable a Elemental or another weak ass monster.
